The vocals were really bad. The guitar solos weren't too great either. The first one didn't really flow well at all and the second one was just poorly played. For being a funk song, the bass had a pretty diminutive role. I didn't like that. Lots of bass is good in funk. The drums were boring too. Really the only thing that made it a semi-funk song was the wah on the guitar. Overall, it was a pretty poor attempt at funk. On the bright side, you guys show a good deal of potential so keep at it.

Well.
Several things were wrong with this one.
#1. The guitar desperatly needed some gain! A bit of distortion would have made a big difference in the sound. (esp. the lead)
#2. The vocals were piss-poor. My dog sings better than that! Just leave the vocals out until you get a real singer.
#3. There wasn't enough changing going on,...there needed to be more parts to the song...not just a bridge. Keep working with the song, you've got a good base...just need more changes.
#4. As you said, the volume isn't up to par...keep working on your recordings, you'll get better, trust me!
#5. Things were a bit sloppy. You need to tighten the band up BEFORE you record. This makes for a more impressive recording. (were you guys drinking when you did this song?)
Overall not a bad first attempt, but still needs work.
Cheers!:chug:

by advertising i mean promoting your band or anything like that. it says it in the rules. though, i guess its ok if youre just "sharing information" :D

Not to bad, man, i thought the wah on the guitar was kool, drums were decent too. Vocals, they need some work, no offence, but ya they need some work, i'm 15 and in a band like yourself, and were having troubles finding a singer although we had lyrics and elodies, and all that good stuff, we were all just to scraed to sing, so we thought we needed a singer. Anyways the bassist's dad got involved and pushed us to see how are voices were, turns out the rythem players voice is a amazing lol, just don't be scared when you sing, i'm not sure bout everyone else, but i could like kind of sense a lack of confidence in the singers voice, so ya push him to not be scared, and just "give er".
