The chord Em is in three different keys.

It is the second chord in D.

It is the third chord in C.

It is the sixth chord in G.

So you can use any of those major scales to solo over the top of it. This is the basics of modal soloing.

I just did the same for the other chords.

look on www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/guitar/index_rb.html
if you take the Eminor out then a G Dorian will fit over a Gmin Amin Dmin progression.

i couldn't work anything out to put over all the chords together. did you want something to play over them all or just over each chord individually?

no just each chord individually

oh! sorry! i thought you meant you had a song with those chords in it and wanted a scale to use! in that case, you could use loads of scales over an E minor. examples:
C major
E Dorian
E Aeolian
D Mixolydian
F# Locrian
if you look on the website i showed ya, and look up these scales, they all will work over E minor. its good cos it shows a diagram of the guitar neck, with dots on the notes that fit in the scales. the numbers on the dots represent the intervals, but there not important in this case. post here again it didn't work

well its kinda like that... I'm trying to create a song with those chords in it... But i guess it would be hard to solo over so i guess i'll pick different chords

like i said earlier, if you just take out the E minor, then a G Dorian will fit well.
for example if you change the Eminor to a Gm6/9, then that will fit with the rest of the chords under the G Dorian scale.
Gm6/9:

e--------
b--11----
d---9----
g---8----
a--10----
E--------

or just a normal C chord would work

ok so what other chords besides that can i use and it will fit well?

use those chords with the ones you said earlier; the A minor Gminor and Dminor. then play a solo in the scale i told you. did you look up the scale on that website?
