Harmonica Bending and tremolo

Having taken it upon myself to learn the harmonica, I've read lots of guides and although i can just about play you the "popeye" theme, most other things i've seen require at least some bending. I cannot get anything resembling a band despite trying tilting the harmonica, doing allsorts with my tngue and mouth, and despite the fact i'm great at whistling.

Also, does anybody know the best way to explain the correct hand position so that I can try tremolo?

the only way i know of to bend a note is to blow really softly. this will make it go flat.

the correct position for the tremelo thing is having both hands in the same position - just mirrored. then you want to turn your left hand inwards so you can cover the holes
