View Full Version : A little help with Cubase SX?
I've never used SX before, could anyone gimme a hand?
I can't seem to find where to set the input as my PODxt, I've set it like normall, going through Control panel and then to Audio and devices, but Cubase won't record it.
Also, where the **** is the drum editor?

I don't think you have a drum editor, just a note editor, or at least that's where I do my editing.
Yeh, that's what I meant, editing a MIDI drum track for my own evil purposes.
Seeing as I don't have a MIDI keyboard hooked into my comp yet, I can't play it out, so I'll have to draw it...

Go into the list menu and I think it should have key or note editor, that will open up the editor so you can draw it all in.
I can see the selection, but it's greyed out. I think I have to record something to begin with, before I can edit it.
Ohwells, I was gonna get a MIDI man anywhoos.
Can you help with the PODxt stuff?

I can't help with the POD stuff, but to ungrey the key editor, just press record, and record nothing so you have a blank track on the screen, then just double click it.
Wait till you play with the list editor, then it gets fun.

You tried this? This is how I do it.
Devices -> Device Setup (at the very bottom -> VST Multi track.
Set your ASIO drive to ASIO PODXT. The pod should be now ready for recording.
Make sure you use headphones if you're recording through usb because without them I got some noticeable latency on the recording.
Sweet, thanks man.
When I record MIDI, it just goes away when I press stop.
I think it's because I don't have any MIDI devices on my comp.
