Microphones / Effect pedals and so on

Hey i would like to know more about microphones and what you need to use one and effect pedals please give some tips and advice.

I presume you want a microphone to record a guitar cab? If so, one dynamic mic and some sort of interface would be enough to start. Your best bet could be to get a mini-mixer, which will allow to plug 2 or 3 mics in and mix the signal. Behringher make some for around 60$. As for the dynamic mic, you can start off with something like a 20$ cheap dynamic, or if you want a more quality sound, something like the shure sm57. i dont understand what u want to know about effects pedals, but for guitar, the best ones to start with are distortion, then delay, then some sort of modulation (typically phaser) then you would want a wah.
