Ok So I uninstalled N Track Studio so I could re install It but now the Installation file appears to be corrupt and wont run at all
So Im going to start again with different recording software...
What would everyone recommend I use? Where can I get it from (downloading, not buying!) Could anyone send me any software?....

Audacity can't actually play MIDI at all.
I found this gem when I was boredly reading the FAQ, the MIDI import facility is merely so you can compare the MIDI appearance to waveform and such. So it can't actually play MIDI.
If you have a MIDI file you want to make into a waveform (so in short, converting MIDI to MP3 or WAV)
Set audacities input dropdown bar to 'MIDI Synth', then press record and press play on the MIDI, it will only record MIDI sounds.
