View Full Version : Just for a keyboard!

Hey guys,

I'm a regular in the bass forum here, and I thought that to help improve my bass playing I'd get myself a keyboard. So I made a spur of the moment decision at Best Buy to get myself a Yamaha PSR-295.

Now, I've never played piano or keyboard before, and I didn't really research anything before I bought this, I was just looking for something to learn on, help me out with my theory and aranging and such.

So, first off: do any of you have any experience with these? Was my spur of the moment purchase a good one, or just a frivolous waste of money? I figured that I couldn't really go wrong with Yamaha.

And secondly: Are there any good online resources that you could point me to, or maybe a good book or two for someone begening keyboard?

Thanks a lot guys!
