View Full Version : Some Changes over the Next Week

I don't have much time, but:

1) The main featured album (main page) has been removed, and instead will show the album covers featured site wide.

2) The format for featured artists will be redone

3) We will now have 'picks of the week' singles in each section

4) The album charts are most heavily biased towards fan favorites... like Lateralus, The Bends etc, which aren't helpful for some people. I'm thinking of new charts... the current ones, and then one for latest releases.

5) Band pages will be fleshed out.

I'd also like to get moderators responsible for each section of the new site.

I'm willing to help with the site, any genre, I like it all. If... you add the extra metal genres. :p

NP: ABBA - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! :upset:

Haha, I'm listening to ABBA now, too.

So there's now going to be an active section for reviews of singles only? Nice. Are we talking just CD singles, or will it be more like the AMG click-through song reviews?

Jeremy, any chance of fixing the login problems? At the moment even when I log in on sputnik, whenever I try to post comment or review, I get logged out. :-/

I don't have that problem.

Could it be something to to do with bannings (moaner) and name-changes (Med57)?

Haven't you been banned before? Three days, in R&M, by Ken, I think.

Ages and ages ago. Before Sputnik was even a concept, I think.

For posting in R&M when Ken was on his period.

Okay, I just got some login problems of my own. Trying to submit a review (writing it as I go along), I kept getting asked to log in whenever I pressed Submit, to allow me to go to a new page.

I got around it the first time by going back and refreshing the page, which allowed me to log in and Submit.

I'm guessing that's a server timeout, or something?

I happen to have that same problem. It really gets to you after a while.

MX:

are you considering changing Sputnik?
according to options stted in this thread? http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=324334

not forcing anyone, just wanting to know wether you are thinking about what to do with the site.

IMO the site looks great, it's just the lack of community

Rather than starting a new thread, minor niggles i've noticed.

Spot the odd one out.

Plus in some cases, using the last page function with comments takes you to a blank page instead of the last comments
