Hey all,

I saw a really good deal on this ATI Radeon Xtasy 9200 256MB graphics card. Before, I had a GeForce 440 MX 128MB card. After I replaced it with the new one, I couldn't start Diablo 2:LOD, and a prompt read, "Error 25: Could not initiate Direct3D". What's up with that? Can't this card handle all the Direct3D/Direct X requirements from before? Is there something I need to adjust in my new settings?

The new card won't let me even intialize, "Far Cry", Half-Life 2", and the Battlefiel 1942 games. I still have GeForce files active just in case this new card was bunk. So, do I need to completely remove the old card files, for this new card to work at its optimum? What do you recommend?

Yeah get latest DirectX. Also you may have not removed all the drivers from your old video card before installing the new one, causing some sort of conflict. To fully clear your drivers, you can get a program called Nasty File Remover.

totally remove the old cards files, then download the latest catalyst drivers from ATI.com and install that.

Clean out your drivers, then redownload them. Make sure to get rid of your old drivers from the geforce.

Hehe the 9200 isn't that good of a card. I'm surprised you can run D3.
