After being only a ps2/pc owner for some years, I finally got the chance to play Halo 2. I thought the game was pretty much a load of crap. I mean it looks good and stuff, but after playing half-life for so many years, halo looks vaguely similar, and is probably 1/2 the fun of half-life. Does anyone here agree with me at all?

I bought Halo 1 recently, and I can't really say i was that impressed with it to start with. I've played about 5 levels, the plot hasn't really thickened that much at all, and the graphics are rubbish on the PC - aliasing and rubbish textures everywhere - and they're un-adjustable!

Well, I bought Halo 1 a few months ago and I'm actually pretty disappointed in it. Nowhere near as good as everyone says. In fact, I've not played it for weeks- and I usually like to see the game through to the end.
As for Halo 2, I've only played the multiplayer on that. We connected 2 xboxes together and did an 8 way match. That was fun. Some of the arenas were a little too small though.
I'm sure Halo 1 is better in multiplayer too, but just not the game it was hyped up to be. I don't know how different the single player in halo 2 is.

In my experience, I find that console gamers are crazy over Halo, while PC gamers see it as any ordinary FPS. To be honest, it really is just like any other first person shooter. It doesn't take many risks in creativity, but it does what it sets out to do extremely well. That's why I think it's such a huge attraction to console gamers, especially since many shooters just don't work so well on consoles.

I Love Halo but I'm not a fan of Pink Floyd, so sue me, everyone has they're own preferences about games, whether its plot, gameplay or graphics, the main thing is games like Halo are there for you to have fun not to criticize and write bashing forums about them like you have no life, so get a life and stop bashing a game, cause thats all it is, is just a game, so stop complaining.

Halo 2 is a good game, but GTA:San Andreas kicks Halo 2 in the nads.

I still don't see how Halo and GTA compare...completely different games. As far as FPS for xbox I think Halo and time spiltters are the only good ones out there but comparing them a pc FPS...it's already been done, Plus pc games allow for mods and customization. to sum it up. PC FPS > Halo 1 and 2

Newb, I've played over 400 of Skirmy alone, 705 total. :lol:
And that's not counting all the training games I've played. Especially recently, I only play team training to get away from the standby fags.

It's good but there are better games out there.
It's fun. I don't really know if it beats Halo 1, I mean the original had a much better story, but I hated the levels

I thought that the single player was pretty boring, my friend usually wants me to play coop wth him and it sucks...but multiplayer is awesome.

The reason he didn't like it was because he is a PS2 fanboy . He was playing me in multiplayer and was a spawn camper hiding in a tank.

Yeah it was begginers luck that you spawned right next to the tank and started to blow the s*** out of me where ever I respawned But i'd own you in the other maps.
