View Full Version : Our girls HS basketball team is going to state.

Last night, we won in the semi-finals. Thursday we play on Ohio State's court for the state championship. Plus we get out of school.

I'm really excited and just thought I would make a thread. Anyone have state experience?

It was a blowout too.. we won by 16 points.

Our boys team won district friday night and we play at Dayton on wednesday Whitehall, Ohio

Out Boys and Girls got into playoffs but lost in first round.

Basketball that is.

My high school's girl volleyball team was state champions my Junior year, then again CT is a small state.

Our school got into the playoffs and lost to this uberly powerful school by 45 points

The game was sold out, and I didn't buy tickets at school for some reason.

Our team use to be good but now it sucks. Or wait maybe it is good.

Our basketball teams made state finals a couple of times and i've played for NSW three times and for Australia twice.

my HS guys team is going to state, but its divison 4A so it isn't all that special, it's still cool

I'll be there Thursday. I'm friends with all the starters Mat, I can't miss this one. :p

I have no idea why we communicate on here. It really doesn't make sense to me either.

Our guys soccer team won states in the spring, our cross country team won states in the fall, and our baseball team lost in the state final the next spring. That was a long time ago, at a small school far away.

My school is sad, but we are pretty decent in track, never lost a meet in 2 years.

My highschool won baseball, football, and basketball state championships in one year.

Wow, that's amazing. Must have been an athletic class.

The team we play tomorrow, Columbus Eastmore, has two 6'2 sophomores, and two of the girls dads played basketball at Ohio State.

...yea, then we lost. We dominated until the 3rd quarter...We couldn't drive inside and we were forced to shoot 3's, unlike the first half, they weren't falling. They went on like a 15-3 run in the 3rd...We lost. :-(

Our wrestling team won.....64-6 in the final. Yea, we killed. We had 11 individual state qualifiers and 4 win.

They weren't forced to shoot threes, they just decided that since Tricia was sitting that they didn't want to go inside the three point line. They should've tried, Tricia was the only player on our team to try to go inside, and she scored when she tried. That team didn't have a great defense, just a quick one.
