Wants to? Doesn't really surprise me. What do the Colts need that they could get of him? Other than another running back to replace him, they're a pretty solid team.

Defense?

They could get a couple solid defensive players by trading James, and they could draft a solid running back in the first round this year.

As much as I like James, the Colts could improve by trading him (as long as they got a decent running back).

Cap space. Edge is gonna want a LOT of money.

I'm not sure what you'd get for a RB who has had a knee injury and becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

im sure u would get somethign good.....even with a knee problem he is still one of the top RB in the nfl

True, Colts should get some good stuff in return if they wish to trade.

running backs in the nfl are deep most not all but most teams have a great running back or one who fits perfectly with their playbook if i was edge i wouldnt want to leave the colts r the best team in the league although it must b fustraiting making it so far only to crap out twice against the pats

Indy wouldnt need to draft a running back. They have Dominic Rhodes, who ran for almost 1,200 yards in I think 10 starts during the season when Edge really messed up his knee. I think it would still be tough to trade Edge, obviously, hes a top 5 running back, but it could really help shore up their defense.

Yeah Patriots ... Manning cant do a danm thing aginst that defense no matter where or when whats his record aginst them like 0-5?

Manning has no problem getting up the field, he just has trouble getting TD's. That's partly his fault, but I'd say most of it is because of the Patriots' defense.

The Patriots also have an offense that can keep up with the Colts (especially with the Colts' defense..).

yeah i agree but when ur QB drives all the way to the red zone or 30yrd line and thorw 2 picks to ty law then its tough for the defense to ahve intinsety and the Pats D was amazing to bad there all going there seperate ways ( sorry for o puncation or anything im just extremely tired and dont feel like dealing with it )

I heard Edgerrin might be heading to Miami...?

Saban says he's not interested in getting James. I think Williams must have slipped a little something into the coaches coffee pot before he left...

I can understand why Miami would want to draft a good running back and build from there.

Miami would need to give up draft picks and players for Edge, and I doubt they want to do that.

Offensively, not so much defensively.

They said on SportsCenter that Indy is asking for less than a first round pick in any deal for James.

Miami wont trade for james... they will get a solid runing back in tyhe draft and work with him

Doesn't surprise me. New England only had to give a second round for Corey Dillion. Although Cincinnati ended up with a great player in Madieu Williams, trading stars for draft picks is a big risk.

Makes sense with Sabin being a college coach.
