Why is that? Whenever I am trying to scream, just air comes out, like a loud whisper. Can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong. Thank you.

making new threads when there's already 3 threads on this topic on the first 2 pages.
you're welcome.
i suppose i'll try not to be a total *******. i had this problem a while ago. i don't really know what to tell you, when i had it, my technique was just completely wrong. i think what you're doing is shaping the note in your throat and then just puching air out, without actually like... singing the note. that's tough to explain, it made sense in my head. when i was doing it, it was because i was nervous i think. Mercaba or someone else will be able to help you more...

I got it. I'm just gonna setup a word pad document on my desktop. That way when people post the same questions...i can just pop it open, scroll...cut and paste it here.
yea..thats it!
Anyways Turd. Youre tensing your throat for one. and probably pulling your cords for the note but not activating them for the sound, so they dont close up and the air passes right through them, probably because you cant Isolate the muscles in the throat and youre confusing throat/larynx squeeze with cord squeeze, one of the most common and most limiting problems. THis is covered ad nauseum in my posts. Plus youre probably pushing way to hard. Practice by starting low and singing up to the note youre trying to scream, and beyond if you can. BUt sing it! with normal singing push. over time or days or weeks or months you can add more push, from the gut of course, and eventually get the cords strong enough, or just coordinated enough to stay closed while you push air over them. ...ahem.... ahem.....AGAIN....You have to be able to sing , tightly , any note you wish to scream with tone. If youre having the problem youre having it is imperative that you read my posts and replies. They are in the voicehelp hotline here:http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286232
Its a bit of reading, but its interesting if i do say so myself, and full of stuff from me and others that can eventually take you to another level, if only at least in your understanding.
If you have the time, you could be surprising people in a matter of weeks or months. Dont rush vocal development, and practice singing then singing hard. Realize that to get optimal tone and volume you cant push 100% for most notes. too much air will leak and the cords will flutter which actually takes away from the tone and volume. learn to get the balance for your own personal present level that gives you the best tone and control.
Even with the craziest and highest screams you can get them with minimal push and force. Its all about strength to keep the cords together and in the shape of the vowel youe trying to make. Since the six vocal vowels are all you can make with your cords. Ay,ee, I, oh, U, and ah. Everything else comes after that in the form of teeth, tongue, cheek, mouth, nose etc. Remember that and practice singing those vowels up and down your range, with minimal push. Best wishes.Warm up and warm down...keep the throat relaxed and dont squeeze.
