okay im pretty new here, i have a band, and we are constantly writing songs..
we are contemplating recording an independent album over this coming summer.

once, our guitarist video taped one of our jams, and it sounded good.

i was wondering, if we can set up three or four cam corders around the room where we jam, and using a computer, rip the audio track from the 4 cam corders.

is it possible to use audacity or any other type of software to mix the 4 sound tracks? and sync them?

much thanks,
shad3

Welcome to Jam Session.

You could easily use audacity to sync the tracks together. It would allow you to have all 4 tracks open in one window, then it would just be a matter of getting them to start at the right time, which would be easy enough. If you're not bothered about the video footage you may as well just use dynamic mics, it might save a bit of hassle when it comes to ripping audio from video.
