Audacity

Well i have a problem with Audacity. It is that i have a mic jack (it has a mic symbol above it) and i cant record directly into audacity. Now i dont know what to do because i am new to audacity. How do i record :confused: . Any sugestions are Most excellent. Party on dudes (just watched Waynes World) Please help.

On audacity, below your transport* there should be a drop down bar, it should contain things like, 'line in', 'midi synth', 'microphone' e.t.c. Change it to microphone and go into your volume control in accessories, check that microphone isn't muted. That should work, let me know if it doesn't.
