Question About Scales

I have a question about scales, im a beginer guitar player and have a question about scales. I know that there are full scales (ex: any peanatonic , any scale form), than for that same scale there are (ex: Penatonic 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc paterns.). I was wondering with those paterns like the 1st can you move that onywhere up or down the neck? if this is making any sence. Or if you have any websites that might clear this up for me let me know, thanks.

That was rather garbled, but it seems to me that this is specifically a guitar question, that you aren't interested in scales so much as in how to finger them on the guitar, and thus I think you should direct your attention to the guitar forum.

If you play A-minor pentatonic (E-string, 5th fret) and move it down to E-string, 3th fret it becomes G-minor pentatonic. If you ment that.
