Well, my band is doing a song that need some crazy reverb on the backup vocals. I am a guitar player though, and do not want to waste my money on a voice effect. If i bought a reverb guitar pedal could i run the mic threw it before the PA? Would it work and sound good?

should work, but you can get an alesis midiverb for only around £70.

It should work I guess, as long as you're within the range of pitch the pedal can comfortably handle.

Digitech make a Multi FX vocal processor but I don't think you'd bother buying one just for one song.

If your PA or mixer has an FX loop or an Aux send/returns. Then run the reverb in there instead.
