It's hard to say without knowing a little more about you/how you feel about either instrument, but my immediate thought is, why not be both? Try drums sometime, see if you like it. Doesn't mean you have to give up bass. And if you play them both, you double your musical opportunities/abilities. A lot of musicians play more than one instrument. I myself have tried several before settling (for now) on guitar. I don't think there's any one instrument that's "right" for you. It's just a matter of what you're trying to do, and what you enjoy doing. Nobody is really A Bassist or A Guitarist or A Drummer. They're just people who play bass or guitar or drums.
Hope that helps.

yeah and if you're in a band, you guys can switch bass & drum duties (that is when you get good to put it bluntly) 2 heads are better than 1, ante up the musical creativity, its really cliche to say this but balance each others weak & strong points, and be open minded, haha i sound like my 6th grade guidance counselor, that prick.

Its actually suprising how cheap you can get a set of drums...i mean here in UK you can get a starter set for around £200 ish...maybe less if you go seccond hand.

A typical guitar and amp will cost around £150, so theres not that much difference really.

I started playing bass because guitar didn't seem to fit me well enough, but now I might have to start playing it again because I'm trying to get into a musical school :(

Anyway I think you should be playing both of them it doesn't harm anyone and if you like drums better and don't feel like playing bass then you brobably have to play just drums.

if you love your instrument, its irght for you. If you can think of nothing you'd like more than to play an instrument, you might benefit a lot form taking it up.

remember drums are noisy, large and expensive.

You can get an operation, but your health insurance won't cover the expense, and you should talk it over with a therapist first.
