Just a quick question. I have decided to buy a power amp in combination with a mixer and an fx processor because I wasn't all too satisfied with my old powered mixer. First off, in what order should these be hooked up? I assume everything would go after the amp to not kill the signal. Then my other question is do you plug the mic into the power amp or the mixer? Thanks. :thumb:

Does your mixer have auxillary channels/sends?
What board are you using? Does it have on board effects?
What effects rack are you using?
If it does, I would recommend inserting your FX send into an aux channel. That way you have an FX control on each channel on the mixer via the assigned aux..
Left/Right outputs from the board go to the amp. The amp, if it has output knobs, should always be turned full.
Any more questions, just ask.

If you are using the FX unit for things like Compression/Limiting/Noise Gate, EQ, Dynamic Enhancers, or any other effect where'd you want 100% of your signal being ran through it. Then run the FX loop in the audio path, between the outputs of the mixer and the inputs of the poweramp.
If you are using the FX unit for other effects where you may only wish to alow a portion of your signal to be affected, such as Reverb, delay, chorus, etc.
Then run the FX loop off an Auxillery output and use each channels (and/or the mixers) FX send to control the wet/dry FX mix of your signal.

My apologies, I forgot I posted this...I decided that I am not yet qualified (nor wealthy enough lol) to have this setup. I just ordered a powered mixer with some other goodies. I will post about it in the PA thread.
