Thats not a question.

"interval" refers to the gap between two notes. I think it is in terms of a scale- so in the major scale, C to E is a third, or an interval of a third.

don't take that for fact, i might be mistaken.

Intervals are the distance between notes.
Between
C and C# = minor second interval
C and D = major second
C and Eb = minor third
C and E = major third
C and F = perfect fourth
C and F# = augmented fourth or diminished fifth
C and G = perfect fifth
C and G# = augmented fifth or diminished sixth
C and A = major sixth
C and Bb = minor seventh
C and B = major seventh
C and C = perfect octave

C# isn't in c natural minor. its in locrian and a few others (1 b2 3 4 5 b6 7 for example) that I can't name.
