depends on what you need to improve on? do you sing at all, or are you just nervous, or are you a bad singer or what? let me know and i'll try and fix you up with some hints. I sing in a band as well, just to let you know i have some sort of experience

if your looking for warm up excercises, i've got a few that will help you out...
before your gig, put on a really hard song to sing, high pitched. i use any audioslave song or rage against the machine. even though you cant hit the notes, try as hard as you can to do so. it sounds like crap, but you strain your vocals enough to warm them up. its better to do this in your room or in a car were no one can hear you! another good one is singing your national anthem whilst holding your tongue. sounds really funny, and its better done with a group of people, which also helps get rid of nerves.

I'm really sorry man, but im not a singing teacher, so i cant help you out with the whole getting better aspect of singing. i just practice my arse off everyday, trying to learn a new song with a higher or lower note as often as i can. you find that you slowly start hitting those notes.

good luck

Check out the Jam Session forum. They have some good tips on there. Merkala or someone.
