Anyone here a fan of the Half-Life games? That includes the original HF, the expansion packs, and of course Half-Life 2. :)

One of my favorite PC games, I can't wait to get a new PC good enough to play HL2.

I haven't completed Blue Shift yet, but I really like it thus far. Great games all the way, Opposing Force is also sweet, I just started the final level.

I haven't completed Blue Shift yet, but I really like it thus far. Great games all the way, Opposing Force is also sweet, I just started the final level.
I've played the first level of opposing force at a friends house, it looked pretty good.

The original was great, I didn't expect it to live up to the hype. haven't played anything else though. Are the expansion packs worth getting?

I've only played the original Half-Life. I loved that game so much.

i've completed both the original, and the sequal, but i haven't played any of the expansion packs.

I would say so. In Blue Shift, you're playing as Barney, the security guard. In Opposing Force, you're Adrian Shephard, one of the soldiers sent to "clean up" at Black Mesa. You'll have access to plenty of new and awesome weapons, and you get to fight new types of aliens and Black Ops troops, who are incredibly difficult to kill.

I have the original Half-Life, Half-Life 2, and Counter-Strike:Source. HL1 and 2 are probably my favorite FPSs ever.

The gravity gun kicks my ***, its so awesome. :thumb:

I had the original HL on PS2, it wsa ace. As soon as HL2 comes out on X box Im gonna get it like a shot

Half Life 2 is great fun. Its cool at the end when you get the super-gravity gun. The only think its missing is something like Deus Ex 2 where you can pick up bodies.

There's most likely already a mod that'll allow you to do that.

haflife 1 is the only one i have, but i love it. Its so much fun, and its a really long game so it takes a while to beat it.

Halflife 2 was supposedly the game of the year though.

Halflife 2 was supposedly the game of the year though.It is, and totally worth getting. The game is nearly perfect, the only downside is the slightly disappoiting ending.

I've played it @ my friends house on several occasions and liked it. I just thought that the graphics were so insanely awesome. Also, the last cut scene to HL2 was so weird. I had no idea what was going on.

True. The bit before the ending when you have to kill all those striders in City 17 is cool. Some of the best city-fighting i've seen in a while.

Cant get a PC god enough to play HL2, but the original, IMO, is the best game ever made. And the expansions were awxome, too.

So, whats everyones favorite moment in any of the games?

HL: the giant tentacle creature in the test bay, or escaping the trash compactor and fighting the assassins where all the crates were...

Blue shift: ...and seeing gordon getting dragged by the 2 troops into the same trash compactor

Opposing force:Near the begining, where theres the creepy cavern things and you meet up with a police officer for the fist time, seeing gordon jump inot the portal that leads to xen, then seeing the scientists that opened the portal getting thier asses handed to them by some aliens.
