I went ahead and bought this game the other day (Gamecube title) and I can't stop playing it. The graphics are sub-par for what the GC is capable of producing, and it is a kid's game, but I can't get enough of it. Maybe it's the fact that you're perpetually in debt for one thing or another, or the fact there always seems to be something to do, no matter how much you've already done, but I love this game. Has anyone else played/owned/rented this? Your thoughts on it?

I loved it for a while. Then it just went away. Running around doing things over and over and over with no purpose other than collecting things wore me down.

I was going to buy it, but i havent got round to it yet.

Other games take priority at the moment such as RE 4 nad TS-FP.

Animal Crossing came out about a year later here in the UK after the Americans got it.

I'm sorry but, the fifth time some damn raccoon wants me to get his gameboy from a horse because everyone is too lazy to get it themselves just so they can give me some stationary or carpet is not worth it. I'll stick with the Sims.

P.S. The mailbox looks like a vibrator.

A buddy of mine went so far as to buy the animal crossing playing cards. After I actually played the game, I guess I could *kind of* understand why, but yeah - addicting game.

The reason the graphics are subpar is because it was originally supposed to be on N64, but since there was so much text in the game, it would've been a waste to make the game from the ground up again.

Anyways, it was a great game, until I found just about everything. Great game though, cant wait for the second to come. :thumb:

The thing about animal crossing is the fact hat it looks so kiddie if it wasnt so kiddie it would be fun but really if u want to play a life sim just buy the sims it has better everything and i dont even like the sims but i would rather play it than animal crossing its just looks so stupid and i make fun of my sister because she plays it nonstop

In Japan it was released on the N64. Europe and the US had a deluxe version of the game.

I love this game. I haven't bought it yet but I've rented it on more than one occasion and it's just great.
