hahahaha. i heard that song and it was pathetic. wonder what the clash would have been like without joe?
another boring band with mick singing songs about love and girls. anyway, i don't think people would still remember the clash today if it wasnt for everything joe brought to the band.

the clash are not the clash without joe mick paul or topper.

The first album is The Clash. That doesn't have Topper and it's probably their second best.

I'm starting to like Give 'em Enough Rope more than their Self Titled. Which is rare because I'm obsessive over their self titled.

I still think S/T is classically the best Clash album.

I LOVE Give 'em Enough Rope, but the production kind of ****ed it up. It's just a little below the s/t for me. Stay Free is such an amazing song.

Oh, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has Super Black Market Clash... who has heard Gates of the West? I love it.

I'd probably say something stupid cause I always say stupid things. I'd probably try to say something about all the things his music made me realize, but I'd forget all my english and look stupid. But I think I'd like to talk politics and music with him. This guy lived so many things, I'm sure he had interesting stories to tell.

And yesterday I was listening to the meskies and I started to think about how I missed their show in Montreal in 2001 and I think I'll regret it all my life. I know I wasnt listening to the meskies back then, but ****, I regret it anyway.

hmm...i dont know. I read something about Joe's daugther screaming "DONT YOU PISS ON MY DADS GRAVE" (so theres a grave somewhere) to a guy at a festival. Maybe Somerset (but again, i have no idea if it's a town or a state or whatever cause I'm stupid), that's where he lived when he died.

I dont think Joe would like all the attention, but he should have his own (insert the word I don't know in english here.statue?you know...like Johnny Ramone). It would be cool for us.

friday night, i had a dream where I was late for my english class, and I took the wrong stairs and I was at this store where I met Chad from New Found Glory. He told me they were playing with the meskies, and I watched their set and decided to go back to my classroom cause I was really late. When I got there, Joe was my english teacher and they were playing Gamma Ray in my classroom. It was kinda cool though it was the kind of dream where you can't really see where you're going cause there's like...too much light or something and you always feel like you forgot something.

Something I've noticed about The Clash, on most of their albums there's a really "emotional" song on it. Their S/T had "White Man In Hammersmith Palais", GEER had "Stay Free," London Calling had "The Card Cheat", Combat Rock had "Straight To Hell", etc.

Np. "Stay Free" is probably my favorite one off there.

Also, thanks for Streetcore.

We can all agree that Stay Free is one of the best songs on Give em Enough Rope.

Enjoy Streetcore, it is a really great album.

In that last picture, Joe invented wearing those shoes. There are at least 5 people I have seen wearing them. They only look cool on Joe. :D

im going alone cause im a loser, but its okay cause most of my friends are going alone too. and i had this idea of writing lyrics on my dress, like just a line or something, but i cant decide what. ive read almost all the mescaleros lyrics and didnt find the kind of line i was looking for.
