This sunday marks the start of the Nextel Cup season with the biggest race of the year. The Daytona 500, Most of you will know at least a little something about the track. 4 years ago to the day (the 18th) We lost Dale Earnhardt in turn four of the last lap of the 2001 500. That race was won by one of his cars. The one driven by Michael Waltrip. Dale Sr, has the all time wins record at the track, Richard Petty has won the most 500's all time, with 7 victories in the great american race.
The track is 2 and a half miles long with 31 degrees of banking in the turns and 18 on the front stretch.
Dale Jarrett and Jimmy Johnson are on the front row.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is in the third row along with Jeff Burton
