Alright me and my friends are trying to record an acoustic song, we have 2 mics plus a crappy computer one, and were currently using audacity but we could also use my friends 100$ tape recorded (Tascam mf-po1), so i was wondering witch one would be better to use?, i mean audacity is really nice because of all the effects and layering tracks is really easy, but i dont know how to get rid of the fuzzies, and the tascam quality is only somewhat decent. We also have a 60 watt acoustic fender amp so we can put the mics through and use the line outs for vocals. What do u experianced recorders suggest? (Were not going to use these for a demo just as a rough copy to expand on)
Thanks...

I'd personally use the tascam. Just angle your mics right and it will sound pretty good.

For ease of use, the Tascam I'd say, unless you have a decent means of inputting the mics into your pc. If you could send me the 'fuzzyness' you speak of, I could have a go at either
a) Working out what causes it
b) How to cure it.
I still have my old tascam mfp01.

its when the big brother was trying to change the language by taking the old words out of the dictionarys and putting in shortened, minimalist words. so that people couldn't express their opinions anymore. or thats as close as i can get to explaining it. or is that fahrenheit 451? i'm confused!!!!!!!

Nah, that was newspeak, the official language of the outer and inner party of Oceania.
Doublethink was learning to contradict yourself.
i.e. Last week we were at war with Eastasia.
*Announcment : We are at war with EuroAsia and always have been*
We have always been at war with Euroasia <--- double think.
