SPOILER ALERT
IMO the ending felt kind of unfinished, though. like, if his plan was to kill all the sins, then he failed, since Brad Pitt survived. the plot should have somehow involved Brad Pitt dying.

I thought he was going to kill himself. I'm not sure though, seven people died.

No. He became Wraith by killing John Doe. Had he killed himself he would've become Emo Kid (although with considerable reason).

SPOILERS....
One of the most disturbing parts of that movie was when they were at the old guys home, and they think hes just a rotting corpse. But he comes alive, it scared the crap out of me.

This whole thread is Spoilers.
And this is another one.
There's is no way in hell that Brad Pitt would've been executed or even charged for murder, in the real world at least. Morgan Freeman was the only witness, and cops don't dime out other cops.

Yes, but who else could have possibly shot him? It would either be him or Morgan's character.

Anyway, Se7en is a great movie. I love David Fincher's directing, and it really shines in this movie. (For those who don't know, he also directed Fight Club and Panic Room.) He has a knack for creating atmosphere in a film.

How do you figure? Kevin Spacey's character is chained up and gets shot like 8 times. Makes it a little difficult to prove there was a good reason to shoot him. Not only that but the helicopter guys watched the whole thing go down.

They could always remove the cuffs, and like he said, cops don't rat each other out.

Well, you see him in the back of a police car at the end. I just assume he was arrested. I'm pretty sure there are laws against what he did.

Real cops would've just said he went to grab their gun or something and that would be the end of it. They don't rat each other out unless their family's lives are at stake. Blood is the only thing that runs thicker than the Fraternal order of Police.
For the purposes of the movie however, I can suspend my doubt. It was a minor conflict. If I was directing I would've worked in some way for their to be a lot of witnesses, or a secret video recording or something is all.

They never showed what happened after he shot him. For all we know, he might've climbed into the back of the police car himself. He seemed like the type that might've filed his own charges and pled guilty, as well, stupid as it may seem.

I never got the impression that his being imprisoned/executed was ever a (specific) part of Doe's plan. The important thing was that he would kill him.

That movie combined David Fincher and Morgan Freeman. Two ingredients I look for in any movie.
And shockingly, it also means that Brad Pitt has been in 3/4 of my favourite all time movies, which doesnt seem right.

He knew the consequences but wasn't willing to let John go after what he did. He'd rather the revenge of killing his wife's murderer than John getting off in some mental asylum and being released shortly thereafter.

The one thing I would have changed about this movie is the actor who plays John Doe. I like Spacey, but he just didn't do it for me in this movie. You know who I thought should have played Doe?...
... Gary Oldman. Every movie I've seen him in he plays a villain, and plays it damn well. I think he would have been much scarier, than Spacey, as John Doe.

yes, but for it to be COMPLETELY complete, Mills would need to die.
