i got a question about stacks. if u have another combo amp like a 30-50 watt can u use a line out jack to plug into an stack or do you have to buy a head. as a sceondary question would it just be cheaper to buy a huge pa and several monitors. my band doesnt need to fill a football stadium we just need to have the right equipment to make a show for less than 500 people. anyother suggestions about monitors would be appreciated because i dont know anything about them either.

its always best to use a mid sized amp and mic it up than use a huge one. But yourselves a decent PA. remember, you might be able to get osme of the money back hiring out to other bands, but don't rely on it.

You could run the combo into an extension cab (i think thats what you mean by "stack"), but you'll need a PA for vocals anyway so.....
Moaner is right, the mid sized amp mic'ed would be better. Being amble to carry your amp is a good thing.

To run a combo into additional speaker cabinets, the combo will need to have a 'speaker output'. This is different to a line output. A line output will not work.

the singer already has his own pa so the pa id get would be for micing drums and running my bass through (guitarist has a stack) and yes i was talking about a bass cab. i dont want to spend the money on a head if i can use my bass combo.
another question what does the effects in/ effects out jack do?

is the sound from micing better enough to go to all the trouble of micing it and if i do mic my bass amp should i use a drum kick mic or dynamic vocal?
