I don't really care that much for hockey but it shocked me when I heard on the news that the hockey season was cancelled. I was also mad when I heard on the radio that Marshall Faulk for the St. Louis Rams was being moved to second string. Any thoughts y'all? Opinions are open.

but faulk dosent have much time left, jackson is an up and coming player, he's gonna be the next dominant running back in the NFC, they should give him time to get used to the league more

This is probably the beginning of St. Louis' change of philosophy on offense. Steven Jackson isnt as dynamic as Marshall is/was. He doesnt catch the ball well, which was a huge benefit of having Faulk there. Jackson is a much more powerful runner, less of a slasher.

With Faulk and Bruce getting a little long in the tooth, I could see the Rams adopting a more ball control offense and using Holt as their playmaker and Jackson as the workhorse. Of course, with that shoddy defense who cares what kind of offense they are running.

NHL is gone and i'm sad. I couldn't care less about st louis, being a patriots fan for the past 5 years(thats right, before the 'dynasty' bandwagoners) but marshall faulk should just retire. He isn't as good as he used to be, and they have newer, possibly better players instead.

The NHL is cancelled but I heard that if they make a deal there might be like a 20 game season or something, which I thikn is really stupid.

The NHL and the PA are too much of complete idiots to agree on something. They were a few million dollars apart on their final agreements and refused to meet half way.

NHL will be cancelled next season. Watch. Hockey is doomed.

At this point and time, Steven Jackson is a much better running back than Marshall Faulk.

Marshall obviously isnt the same player he was 4 years ago, but I think he could still be a solid running back. As long as he stays away from the injury bug, I think he'll make a decent bounce back this next season.

But yes, I agree....Stephen Jackson is the better runner now, and I think he will be a great runner for many years. Sort of like Eddie George, but I think Jackson will have a little more longevity.

Marshall is a Hall-of-Famer and is probably the best RB of the past seven years, but there's no doubt Jackson is right now a better back. I think that the Rams will still use Faulk to spell Jackson and they will undoubtedly put him in in third down situations because he's still a great pass-catching back, but the Rams are better when Jackson gets a bulk of the carries.

Wow, we actually agree on something for once.
