how do you take a large file and compress it

I just got this program so you can record, but it takes up a lot of space. How do you compress it down to a normal mp3?

Also, how do you post them on here?

I'm guessing your program records wav. files so go get audactiy http://www.audacity.com/ and get the LAME Mp3 Encoder and convert it using that :)

to post on here you will either need free webspace and ftp the songs or you can use pure volume or soundclick and they will host the songs for you
