I tried putting this in my last thread with my last cover, but it wouldn't let me post in there. So, if anyone wants to take a listen, I did a cover of Tornado of Souls.

Where do you live? I'm trying to find a guitar player for my band.

Ah well, it's only the other side of the country, no problem.

And thanks, by the way.

Finally, some Megadeth covers. They sounded good dude. Kinda sucks you didnt do the vocals, I would like to hear you sing like Dave

You should cover My Last Words or Rattlehead.

I would like to hear you sing like Dave

I don't think I could even TALK in that style, let along sing it.

Not that I can sing anyway :upset:

I actually haven't heard My Last Words or Rattlehead, I've only listened to a few of their songs in fact. I'll look into those though. Also been thinking of doing Transylvania by Maiden, but I can't find a backing track, and I don't really want to do the drums in fruityloops anymore, it takes too long.

My Last Words is on Peace Sells But Whos Buying and Rattlehead is on Killing is my Business. But yeah I'd like to here Transylvania

I've decided I'm only going to do select reviews periodically,as me time is extraorinarily valuable.

This is a tops job on the megadeth cover, near flawless performance. I'd love to hear more megadeth covers. I'm assuming you did the master cover long before, as there's quite a bit of difference in skill and you've improved a lot

Yeah, I probably have gotten better, but I also got better at recording. Most of my covers were done recording the tracks seperately using a metronome (a very old metronome) and hoping the pieces would fit together. Now I finally know how to record with tracks playing in the background, which is much easier.

Plus there's the laziness factor, where I just didn't feel like going back to fix things :(

rofl the revised version of fade to black is rushed in the begining, it sounds kinda like polka

Polka, eh? Maybe I can make a living from turning Metal songs into Polka.

Awesome cover man.

One question though, whats with the end of Blitzkreig? It's almost flawless until the end. Then it sounds like your just improvising and not even playing the real riffs.

Well the whole section with the harmonics I just played random notes basically. I know the outro is pretty sloppy but that's where the laziness factor comes in.

If anyone's interested I decided I'd try to cover Hangar 18 next. I've finished all the 'easy' parts, now I just have to learn the solos. No problem...

Thinking about Holy Wars after this (I just can't stop covering.)

Well, Aces High would be easy enough. I wouldn't have to learn anything new at least.

It'd be cool to hear you play killers. That song kicks ***.
