ITT people post the type of movie they want to see, so others can recommend movies from that genre.
So can someone recommend me a good actiony/scifi/horrory type movie. Preferably a fairly famous one so I can pinch it off the network?

Dawn of the Dead is good if you haven't already seen it. Return of the Living Dead is good too, but it's really cheesy.

Lemme put it this way: Me and my friend snuck in to see it in theatres and it is easily one of the greatest movies I've ever seen in my entire life. It's not really as scary as it is sorta weird and demented, You'll love it, it's a must see. :)
EDIT: Despite it's horrible ending :(

A nice action-horror is Story of Riki-Oh. You could probably find it off some file sharing programs like WinMX, the movie has a fairly large cult following.

Anyone seen the new Assault on Precinct 13 yet? I thought it was pretty good, I won't say too much for fear of spoiling it but it has some real good action scenes in it e.g Laurence Fishburne's character and the two molotovs

Dawn of the Dead is pretty good, the first one that is. I always only see the end of Return of the Living Dead, but I usually like it. For a zombie movie I recommend Evil Dead II.

I've been meaning to check out the Evil Dead series. Is it more of a comedy or is it scary?

Evil Dead: Horror
Evil Dead 2: Horror/Comedy
Army of Darkness: Comedy with some action
The first two are really violent so if that kind of stuff freaks you out dont see it. People's heads get cut off, pencils are shoved into ankles, etc.
