i have a demo tape i want to record to my computer. I have the software to do it with but I have no idea how I connect my stereo to my computer. The software says to "Connect your source device (tape or record player) to the Line In connector on your computer's audio card." Problem is, I have no idea what kind of cord to use or where to get it. Help?

You'd probably find more help in The Jam Session.

alrighty... even though your posting in the wrong place... ill help because im bored to f.uck.
alrighty... im sure you've used headphones before, and have seen the type of connector on the end? its called a 1/8". well, you need to go out to walmart, and find a cable that has a 1/8" on each end.
once you've got it, hook one end into the headphone output on your stereo, (if you dont know where that is, well.... you shouldnt be alive) and the other end into the line-in jack on your computer.
you should know where to go from there... no?
hope that helped... cheers
