I think that in The Camper Velourium series however, that Al, being the racist rapist that he is, eventually can't fight the urge of raping and murdering Newo, and in Al The Killer, he is preparing to do the deed. When this happens though, I think that he triggers a part of the Monstar in Claudio, and Claudio goes crazy on his *** and kills him.

I took that bit from another interpretation from some guy there as well.

I found this somewhere else, and for the most part, agree with it:

The Camper Velourium (Al The Killer)
Claudio, Newo, Jesse, Chase and Ambellina hire Al to take them to House Atlantic

I: Faint Of Hearts
It's about Al's gun. (Sleep tight my love/gun) Al's a psycho; he's the kind of person who would love his gun. "My wanting just to hold your neck in my arms and feel me squeeze" - The neck is the barrel, squeeze the trigger "The sin that shapes your voice carries my ears this new disease" - The gunshot is his guns voice, and by shooting and killing someone would be the sin. "I'll touch it if you ask me to but how is up to you" - He could touch it by cleaning or caressing it which would be harmless, or he could use it to kill. "With all the words you say... you'll save"- again the words you say are gunshots, and I think Al is a good guy, just crazy, so he could save people with every gunshot. I think this whole song is introducing us to the character Al. This song while saying these almost sexual things about his gun, introduces him to us as an already crazy character, but while looking into his lyrics it almost became apparent to me, that there was some kind of murder, or some kind of killing with this gun that Al regrets. Al knows that he can use this weapon for good, and his gun kind of "taunts" him with this whole notion. While asking if someone took his guns "tongue" or the sound of the actual firing of the gun, Al contemplates why he ever put this weapon away (obviously a prized gun of his, probably a sniper rifle as mentioned in favor house, but more on that later) but as said before every time he looks at this prized weapon, this weapon that the "good eye sniper" is known for it beckons to him, asking him to pick it back up again, but he replies with things like "no I'm not going to give you what you want so if you please", so this whole dilemma is explained, and in the end it comes to a head when you realize he is indeed talking about a gun.
II: Backend of Forever
Al's feelings for Newo and her rebuttal of them, either spoken or unspoken.
III: Al The Killer
An insight into the character of Al.

My voice isn't high, but I can hit the notes just fine.
To add a bit more to it, I kind of did all the way up until he sings "Ignoring the words..." the second time, one octave lower, and then just broke out when he hits "Whiiiiiile". It worked really really well. So, apparently I now have to perform for every school event I have now.

It's a completely different sound. While IKSSE:3 had poppy songs like Blood Red Summer, Three Evils, and Faint Of Heart, the closest thing you get to poppy at all is 33 and MAYBE Devil In Jersey City . Everything else is just completely different. Hearshot Kid Disaster and Junesong Provision are wonderful examples of it.

Their singles are usually considered pop-punk, like A Favor House Atlantic. It's all they can do to lure people into their albums, which are full of crazy guitar solos and other weird **** that Fall Out Boy fans wouldn't touch with their danity little fingers!

I know. And it's not pop-punk. Yes, some of their songs are emphasizing on their poppy side, but there's not an ounce of punk in them. They're a prog-rock band. I don't get why they're associated with pop-punk.

They play/played shows within the scene back when these bands were small enough to play clubs.

I'm almost done with listening through the new album for the first time. It's pretty good, I like IKSSE3 better.

I haven't really listened to it, but I read in this thread that only "33" and "Devil in Jersey City" are poppy. I don't know though. But judging from "In Keeping Secrets..." and "Good Apollo...", they're not a pop-punk band.

Excuse me while I shoot your crack dealer.
What the hell are you talking about?!
The closest you get to Poppy on SSTB is Devil In Jersey City and 33. Everything else on that album is far more experimental and far more out there than IKSSE. Come on man. IKSSE had Favor House Atlantic, Blood Red Summer, Three Evils, AND Faint of Heart. Sure, it also had The Crowing, IKSSE, and Al The Killer, but SSTB had Everything Evil, Junesong Provision, Hearshot Kid Disaster, and Delirium Trigger. I'd also mention Time Consumer, Neverender, and God Send Conspirator, but then I would have listed the whole album.
SSTB>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>IKSSE
I don't know where to place Good Apollo on that line, cause I haven't made a desicion about it yet.

Faint of Hearts is the most unusual song off the last album; it's kinda 80's rock-like with that beginning guitar solo, and the rest of it is just pure Coheed. That's why I'm glad that what I've heard from the new album is closer to what was hinted at in that song. It's gonna be different from the first two, but still awesome.

I listened to Blink around that age but I don't think I was seven. I remember I went to my cousins house one day and she was probably like 15 or 16 my age now and i was like 9 or 10 and she was listening to All the Small Things and I loved it haha.

Wow, I guess you're a bit young compared to me. The only way I could listen to Blink at age 7 or 9 is if I could get a bootleg copy of Cheshire Cat or something. Nooooope, it was Dookie for me :)

Anyway, I gotta pre-order this one soon, since the town I go to school at has no music stores to speak of.

Buy one now. I command thee. :upset: I have 5 Heed shirts, but I really only wear three of them. The rest got stretched out/ too big. I have a shirt for each album. The "Jukebox" shirt for SSTB. The "Angel/Ambelina" shirt for IKSOSE:3. And the "Skeleton/IV" shirt for Good Apollo.

That slit throat one is pretty bad arse, I do have to admit.

I have no clue what either look like. I'd like one with the keywork(?) on it though. That'd be sick.

Ok, so I'm listening to The Willing Well IV right now. Tell me the solo doesn't sound like a Stevie Ray Vaughn or Pink Floyd solo.

Edit2: Ok, so I didn't know Co&Ca played bluegrass.

Yeah that would have been cool. I wonder if there's a reason for all the 3's.

EDIT: Question for everybody, I've been listening to Co&Ca for I think 2-2 half years, and for the story on IKSOSE:3, I knew there was a story and what not, just never understood/listened to the music for the story, so in order to understand it should I just listen and figure it out, or look at lyrics or what?

So I'm listening to SSTB right now. I've been listening to IKSOSE:3 and now my step-dad borrowed it because he likes Co & Ca now :).

They're just all over the place. They can pull it off well though IMO.

I haven't heard it yet, but according to a Guitar World interview, Claudio likes the David Gilmour tone. So the solos with that tone are likely his, while the others belong to Travis.

Also, I like how their shirts have nothing to do with the band at all. A kid who used to go to my college had some weird "Co & Ca Motorcycle Club" shirt or something.

Well 3+3+3+3+3+3=18. And 3x3x3x3x3x3=729.

I wouldn't think Claudio and Co. would be the type to be all 666ish .
