Awwwwwww SNAP....
The song IKSOSE:3 is from one of seven of jesses "children" (IRO-bots he made) named Will. So will in this story isnt wilhelm ryan.
Does anyone need me to go into further explanation?

Agreed. I love that part that Claudio plays at the end.
And, I haven't checked the scene selection thing, but I will later.

OOOOOH....Now whats reason 3.0?
Reason is a very powerful piece of production software, mostly used for trance, dance, drum and bass, and hip-hop beats. It's also good for some wild remixes. Propellerheads have just released the latest version of it... version 3.0. Now, I'm gonna go home and have some mad fun with it.

Now what the **** does everyone think about all these bible references in the CD's (that i never picked up on)?
AND
what do all of you think of this....in gods riddle in the story, it says he will return with the fires of sirius (should man dabble in his affairs blah blah blah). Claudio is the reformed god coming to ruin everyones day because of the IRO-bots that have been made. i was thinking "im burning star' means "im the fires of sirius"....
hey, you're not cory!
04-06-2005, 09:01 PM
wait...what bible references?
cobert
04-07-2005, 04:24 PM
meh....
How old was jesus (supposedly) when he started claiming he was gods son?
--------23
How old are coheeds children (supposedly) when the sinistar activates?
--------23
also, claudios the crowing (messiah), and he will do gods work (supposedly) when he turns 23 and becomes the sinistar.
How old was jesus when he died (supposedly)?
--------33
...You should be able to get that last one (supposedly).
But this still doesnt mean claudios a jesus person. He said himself in some interview (supposedly) "im not the religious type." I mean, im not either, but the bible is a bitchin' story, if you believe it or not.

ALMOST as amazing was that my sisters boyfriends was singing IKSOSE....as he put up my enw drumset. Thats right bitches, i got drums. Heh, first song i learned (which i already knew how to play) was A favor house atlantic.
While we're on the subject....Whats the hardest Co n CA song you can play (on any instrument)?
F*ck dude, I can play the Crowing on any instrument (both Claudio and Travis for guitars). I can also play both guitars on IKSSE. But I honestly love playing Neverender more than anything else. It's nowhere near being as hard as the other two, but I just love playing it.
hey, you're not cory!

"Neverender" is their best overall song
cobert
04-09-2005, 09:24 AM
****, not much hard bass....but 33 is **** fun. And i cant sit still while playing devil in jersey city.
I guess the hardest CO n CA song on bass is godsend conspirator, and even thats not too hard. meh, meh.
Neverender as their best song? I wouldnt call it their best, but it definitely captures the bands sound perfectly. Id much rather listen to IKSOSE or time consumer, however.
hey, you're not cory!
04-09-2005, 12:25 PM
I love "Neverender". You're right, that does show what the do better than any other song...but the line "Point your gun in another direction/now that you've cried yourself to sleep" gets me everytime for some reason.
cobert
04-10-2005, 04:06 PM
A line that catches me evrytime i hear it is the "dear ambellina" part of the crowing, or the chorus to IKSOSE. I cant help but sing or hum those lines when they come on.
I spent all of yesterday learning Godsend Conspirator, Backend Of Forever, Three Evils, and Light And Glass.

300th reply....
...Id like to thank the academy.
Quick question: Does anyone here have the comic? Did you have trouble finding it? The hot topics near where i live say they never knew one was being released, and nowhere else has had any either. The first comic (SSTB, explains time consumer) seems to tell SOOO much, but i have to look online for hours to see that 21:13 is the time Maria and Matthew die...whenever I could figure that out by looking at one panel in the comic.
Actually 21:13 is the time that appears when Coheed is standing outside the limo containing Captian Mayo, while he contemplates what to do.
And, it wasn't hard to get the comic for me, but that's cause I got it from the show.
cobert
04-12-2005, 05:44 PM
Well, the people on cobalt and calcium say 21:11 is when coheed arrives home before killing maria and matthew.
Its impossible for me to get a comic from a show, i think they came around to pittsburgh on warped tour last year, but i didnt go....meh.

I'm pretty sure he said the song was called something like that when I saw them on Saturday. They played two more new songs too but didn't mention the names, I liked them all though, they sounded a bit more proggy than some of their other stuff.

Those 2 other songs were probably covers they just started doing at concerts....Kashmir from black sabbath and the final cut from pink floyd.
Um... They're the same band... they just changed their name quite some time ago.
I think shabutie was Claudio and Mic, and 2 other guys, but then they changed the lineup and the bands name and started making concept albums.
EDIT: OH SHIII!!!! Kasmir isnt a cover, it just has the same name. It was originally called "anything for you", and theres some other song called "so tell all your friends".

They don't really sound like epic enough titles for CoCa, where'd you get that information from?
cobert
05-10-2005, 10:16 AM
It was on the live downloads page on cobaltandcalcium.com. They have tons of live shows, and those were songs that ive never seen before. Seeing the names, i assumed they were covers of sabbath and pink floyd. But then i scrolled down and saw that they used to be named something else, so those were original songs with the same name.
Yeah, but i still think "the final cut" sounds kinda epic. And if the album has a title track....Jesus christ, thatll be a bitch to type everytime we talk about it.

Ok cool then, they may still be tentatively titled or something; they changed the album name from Hello Appolo, I'm Still Burning Star: 4 to Good Appolo, I'm Burning Star 4, Volume 1: Into The Madness so I guess the song titles could changed too. And agreed that'll be a bitch of album title.

Actually, the album title is"Good Apollo, I'm burning star 4, Volume 1: From Fear Through the eyes of madness"
And you cant forget that IKSOSE was orignally called "upper armories of the third deep", and the crowing was "watch over me".

The bass is just a root note of claudios part, and most people mistake the bassline as what travis' part is.

Coca is quite addictive. The new album is going to be incredible, because Claudio said that they have really had time to work on this one, rather than on the last release which was actually mostly written in the studio. It would be better to list the songs by them I don't like than a favorite because the list would be very short. Think I'm gonna listen to them right now. Oh and make sure you get the version of time consumer with the solo by Dr. Know I just recently got the right version and it is incredible.

Nice to see you're still breathing.
Everybody.....whats the one coheed and cambria song you absolutely CAN NOT stand to listen to? I personally like everything theyve released, but i guess ill have to pick one to be fair:
Neverender. Seems shocking, i think its a good song and all, but i just cant get to far into it without skipping to the awesomeness that is godsend conspirator.
Oh, and i downloaded Elf tower, NM. Claudio gets pretty high pitched on this song, and i personally love it. And i got cassieopia.....which was kinda a letdown compared to elf power.
Dude, Neverender is incredible.
Just listen to the chorus. I love it so much.
The song I like the least is probably Cuts Marked In The March Of Men, I can't even remember how it goes!

Screw that. The loved it! It's such an epic song. There is ONE part I cut out, and that's the "Liar" part. Too boring for me. Oh, but the **** hit the floor during those last two minutes of the song. They just loved it. And I now declare myself to be a Pimp, on many different levels.

Another question to keep this thread alive and well:
How many people here got their friends into COnCA?
I, for one, got 3 other people into them....the rest of my band, pretty much. 2 of them used to listen to slipknot (and still do) and the other into corny metal bands like matallica. Id like to think i broadened their tastes a bit.

Claudio falls into a dream at the end of Second Stage Turbine Blade and is dreaming this dreamed reality all the way through The Crowing which is claudio who is supposed to be some kind of messiah in cuts marked in the march of men it is a battle between jesse and the red army chase is not a real person she is an I-Robot and she is jesse's daughter you could say because in the SSTB comic that is released she is created by jesse and jesse does give himself up for her because she is captured and then three evils is about jesse being tortured IKSOSE is about leading up to the battle and then claudio wakes up in the crowing and he realizes what he must do and Ambellina is a sort of fairy sent by the prise(people watching over man and waiting for the return of god) to watch over claudio in blood red summer claudio is in hiding and newo ikkin claudio's girlfriend is captured by al the killer a pshycopath killer who hates white girls and the velorium camper is his ship and those are all about al taking newo (he is actually just holding her for some people) in A favor house atlantic claudio rescues newo from al and they are being chased and in The Light and The Glass as you kno coheed and cambria are dead at the end of SSTB claudio is either writing to coheed or newo(not sure) maybe that was a lot and im not sure if anyone is even that familiar with the story but i absolutely love coheed and cambria and always love getting new info on the story and i love putting it together im constantly listening but i try and not put stuff up thats not for sure and most of this isnt proved yet but if u didnt kno coheed's fourth album "Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume One Through Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness" will becoming out august or september and if anyone else loves talkin about the story my email is ZachIrish555@comcast.net and thats it

I actually think Al helps them.
The spaceship sound in the ring in return is the camper velorium taking off. I think Al is flying them to house atlantic (the capitol of paris earth) to kill mayo (claudio avenging his familys death). Think of it as the "hello apollo, where should i begin?" as claudio telling his story to newo aboard the camper velorium. Then when the camper velorium begins, its back to present day after he tells his story about his dream and him being the messiah.
Faint of heart explains al's obsession with his gun, and backend of forever is him being obsessed with newo. Al the killer shows the true psycopathic nature of Al, and he tries to kill Newo but is given a second chance (the killings no fun if the heros play dumb).
A favor house atlantic is the storming of house atlantic. The first verse is claudio teling newo that he wouldnt want anything bad to happen to her, so he has to cut the realationship short because of his new status as the crowing. The good eye snper part is Al covering chase and claudio as they escape house atlantic. II think newo is upset with the breakup, and while escaping the failed attack on house atlantic, and she wants to turn claudio over..."now you wanna kill me.....".
The light and the glass....I have no clue. But i have heard theories of claudio being captured and put on death row, and they all seemed pretty sensible.

That seems just as plausible as the other stuff I've heard about Al being evil, so now I'm confused . Nobody in the band, before writing our last two records, really listened to Rush. But because of my voice we get comparisons a lot, and I'm now a fan of Rush. We wrote a song called "2113." It's the bonus track on the record. 2113 is actually a significant number for our story, but it's a throwback to 2112 as well

coheend and cambri are an awesome band, me and my older brother discovered them a few months back when we were just browsing links from our favourite bands website when we came across a picture of them. and the reason we started listening to them is because the vocalists looks exactly like my older brother!!! by the way everyone has to check out "a favor house atlantic" its the koolest song.
Glad to know you use proper grammar.

Ask him very nonchalantly what happened. If he says he doesnt know, punch him in the kidneys and continue to question him.

I heard the same as depthsofdreams, that claudio didnt really like them. He said if he wouldve listened to them a while ago while he was getting into music he mightve, but not now. And i pretty much KNEW somebody was going to say rush.
I was listening to Coheed the other day and my mom asked me if it was Rush.

yeah my parents said they sounded like rush too
As did mine. And my Aunt. Then again, my Aunt also thought they had some Creed influence, so... she's f*cked up.
But yeah, BOTH of my parents thought I was listening to Rush the first time they found me listening to Coheed And Cambria.

We finally have the date.

Ugh, my guitarist said "dude, creed isnt that bad". Then he did pretty much the same thing except with good charolotte so he could get laid by some ugly chicks.
But... Creed IS that bad.
And once the new album comes... tour time!

My point exactly. Now hes going to warped tour so i guess he can "get nice" with his friends sister, when he really only like one band there (the offspring in case you were wondering).
Staying on topic: How much do COnCA tickets cost, if youve ever seen them? Im usually broke and all my moneys in the bank for when i graduate.

Something like £15 when I saw them in Cardiff University a few months back.

Yeah, and then he tried to make it like he liked senses fail in an attempt to make more reasons for him to go. SF will probably just play stuff from the new album and bloody romance, no point in going.
$20....pretty cheap.

Does anyone know how many comics there will be? I assumed there would be one for each album but obviously not.
Also, I was going to order the new comic but it's only availible at Hot Topic and apparently they don't ship to the UK.

I think theres supposed to be 5 or 6 for each album. My hot topic is retarded, and theres no comic book stores around here so i cant get them.
So I read the overview on cobaltandcalcium. In devil in jersey city, patrick and josephine, soon to be married, are riding to New Jersey. At the same time, Claudio is with Newo and remembers he ahs to be home, and leaves her. Back to J and P. Along the way to New Jersey, Josephine and Pat stop for some quick nookie. Yes, i just said nookie. So, mid-bone, they are attacked by the "Jersey Boys", a small gang of thugs, and are beaten badly and josephine is raped. Pat calls them bastards, and josephine says she wants to go home.
They immediately go to the killgannon home, and josephine tells what happened. Cambria comforts her, saying that everything would be allright. Coheed has a flashback of patrick popping the question, and some other stuff I cant remember, and then *BAM*, he smashes josephines head with a hammer, killing her instantly. Everyone escapes, and Mayo comes in later with some troops. It is now 2 AM, and Mayo shows his disaproval that one more child is alive. Coheed activates his blades in his arm, killing some of mayos men. A hail of incapacitating bullets makes coheed unconcious, and Mayo's men drag coheed away to the car. Finally, Mayo orders his men to burn the house down.
I cant remember what all happens after this, but it involves mayo and mariah and some other people, i cant recall exactly what happens. I hope that helps.

Holy poop! I can see them splitting before they get all those done, which will really suck, I really wish they'd just concentrate as releasing the whole thing as a book. It would probably only take them a year or two that way at most.

Actually, I heard somewhere that after the second one was released, which it is, there would be a more steady flow of them coming out, so no more long waits between, and that there would be more bi- or tri-monthly releases.
And i think its better to get out a big book for each CD rather than tiny comics also.

CO&CA is personally one of my favorite bands, and that says allot because I am a classic/prog rock junkie. It's kind of funny that I'm really into them because I grew up about 5 miles from their high school and went to their early shows in Nyack at the Backdoor and Olives when they were Shabooty. Nobody believes this but it's pretty sweet that I saw them for free just showing up a couple of times and now I have to get advanced tickets and pay liek 30 bucks to see them. Oh well
Personal favorite songs.... Three Evils, The Crowing, Velorium Camper II, 2113, Everything Evil and Devil In Jersey City.
One of the most uniqe bands to come out in ages

*I WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN, EVER.*
Right, i thought Co&Ca were a 'sh*tty' screamo band, because people who liked them at the time liked that kind of music. So i never really payed much attention to them or never tried to check them out.
But today, i've been looking for new music, as ever, and i thought, why not, i'll check them out, and **** me they're good. I'll never diss something until i know what they're like ever again.

There's always the internet.
Coheed & Cambria are probably going to become even more popular with the release of their new album, just because they have immense talent and sophisticated song writing style that is a breathe of fresh air with the kind of garbage that is being put upon the air waves today. I can see them 10 years from now, still being the same kick-*** band as they are today.

hey, im a huge fan, since like april/may of last year but i never got into the whole story thing, maybe i should check it out...i have a couple questions
is sstb their first cd (because its number 2)?
is "i, robot" on a cd, or is it unreleased?
Electric Ocean

Yes, Second Stage is their first album and I,Robot is a secret track at the end of the album, you have to let Godsend Conspirator run on until it comes in a few minutes later. It's the acoustic/electronic track at the end.
