20th Century Fox is strongly considering making another Predator movie to add to the franchise. The studio is considering casting John Cena in the film, more than likely for the lead role. He would most likely play the son of Dutch (Arnold Schwartzenegger) from the first Predator movie. They will probably wait to see how his first movie, "The Marine", with WWE Films turns out based on his actig ability and fan reaction.

To make this bit of news confusing, a Century Fox employee stated that the movie would not be a remake, nor a prequel, but a restart. So basically, it just takes off from the first Predator movie but before the second Predator movie (maybe). The movie could take place in current times if Dutch's son was supposed to be born after the movie took place, or it could take place sometime in the 90's if John Cena's character was already growing up during that time. More news is likely to come in after "The Marine" is released in theaters.

This movie needs to be Predator 1 with the intended gore of Pred 2.

Did you know that jean Claude Van dam was cast as the predator in the first film, but he was too short to look imposing.

I'm still disgustingly upset with what he did with what should have been a wet dream for many people, Alien Vs Predator.

I don't care what he does with his video-game adaptions, but he should have left such an important project alone.

I can't imagine, how you could ruin a great concept like Alien Vs Predator.. I mean, even your average B movie director could make that into a kickass movie

Pg-13 on AVP says it all. The movie would have been better with no humans or plot and just fight scenes.

Exactly, seeing Predator befriend a human just seemed cheesey.

I realy hope that there isnt a new Predator because the sequel was bad enough.

Actually, I think that happened in the AvP comic book. Not 100% on it, but I'm fairly certain in the comic books the Predators were the "good" guys and the aliens were the "bad" guys.

I realy hope that there isnt a new Predator because the sequel was bad enough.Predator 2 had some sweet gore in it.

That's what makes those two franchises so great, is seeing the gore that you don't want to see, but have to. Alien vs. Predator had such promise because everyone was hoping for a gorefest; but it pissed it all away for a PG-13 rating and an overprotective mother's submission.

a new predator would be nice,but if another bad director does it thats a diffrent story

by the way, is there a new alien comming up? directed by scott?

yeah, but the second film had nothing common with concrete jungle, other than there was a city involved

That would be a lot better than AvP.

I don't get the whole claw-melting thing. In the books, their gear is acid-proof. If you're going to go hunting, don't you think you'd use weapons that will work more than once? It's like going deer-hunting with a tranquilizer gun, except the syringes are filled with testosterone.

that deserves a definite 123
