View Full Version : Sonic Mega Collection Plus
I bought this the other day (Got a free t-shirt too) as I cannot let go of my Sonic upbringing. I was brought up on these games, so I had to own them.
The collection features all the Mega Drive games (Sonic 1, 2, 3, S&K, 3D, Mean Bean Machine and Spinball), all the Game Gear games (Sonic 1, Chaos, Drift, Labyrinth, Mean Bean Machine and Blast). It also has unlockable games from other consoles, and even non-Sonic games like Ristar which was released for the Mega Drive.
I'm in love with this at the moment. And now you can save your progress in all the games, it's just so much better.
Anyone else got this, or is planning to get this?

I live in the UK. I only found out about it Saturday when I went into Game and saw it Number 1 on the charts, higher than San Andreas which was second.
That blue hedgehog and his camp tailed friend still got it

I admit i haven't been in a shop other than for food for a while now so i hadn't noticed, thanks for the info.
I'm buying this tomorrow :thumb:
It also has extra stuff like comic strips, drawings and movies. I was hoping some of the original episodes of the cartoon would be on. None of this Sonic X anime crap, the original Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon with Dr. Robotnik!
I was sadly let down :(

I only saw it on monday, i looked at the games it had on it, and fell in love.
That, and KOTOR2 are top on my list of "to buy" games.

I beat Sonic 1-3 with all the chaos emeralds already and haven't got any new ones.

Only one of the greatest consoles ever.
refl, Mega Drive = the rea..European name for the Genesis
Kif, how much was it?
I have the roms of some of the old Sonic games, and I own Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic 3D
£29.99, which I thought was pretty good for around 15 old games which I grew up on and loved. I mean, I have a lot of them on rom, but nothing beats playing Sonic on your T.V. for me.

I tried hooking up the old megadrive to the tv this morning to play Sonic 2. It didn't work and I'm so pissed. After Sonic I was going to try and complete Mega Bomber Man.
It was the same old TV I used to use so I dunno why it didn't work.

Sounds like a great deal, I will definitely get it first chance I get. My mate has emulators on his x-box and I spent all Saturday playing DK country, Super Mario world and Sonic games. They will never get old. Also played Road Rash and Streets of Rage 2, along with Golden Axe. Some of the greatest games ever.

twenty dollars... that's only £11 and we have to pay £30 a.k.a $50. That's us europeans being screwed over again with game pricing :upset:

Wait, when you say Sonic 3D, is that the crappy Genesis one, or the most excellent Sega CD one?

What is it? Also, anyone with The Ooze, can they tell me what that is?

Genesis (I assume that's the USA version of the Mega Drive?) version. I'm quite curious to play this game though, now I can move him diagonally.
And Jon, I got mine for PS2 but it's out for Xbox as well

I have it. It's basically a game where you are literally ooze and you just kind of go around. I only played it for a minute then played Sonic.

Does it have that game which had Knuckles as the main character?
I think it was on Sega CD.
And I need to buy this, £25 on gameplay.co.uk for Xbox. It's my birthday in a few days, I will get this with some of the money I get.

The game you're thinking of was Knuckle's Chaotix. It was for the Sega Genesis but you had to get the 32x adapter. No, that game is not on Sonic Mega Collection Plus, neither is Sonic CD.
