hello everyone. i haven't showered since wednesday night. my hair is incredibly greasy at the moment. my rash on my arms is nearly gone, but my coughing is still here. that buckley's is great stuff. the taste isn't so bad either, considering it's in your mouth for half a second. the night time stuff puts me right to sleep, too. there's nothing on tv, and i don't feel like watching a movie in my room. time to waste on the computer. all my friends are gone until 7. snowboarding and working. i haven't played my kit in, gosh, it must be close to 2 months now. pad every day. rudiments rudiments rudiments. i've been working on accents alot lately. can never get enough accents. and ghost notes. i'm wearing my new pajama pants that i got for christmas. they're very comfortable. i just noticed a few minutes ago that they have silk in the pockets. it feels nice. i also got slippers for christmas. very soft, as slippers are for the first little while you wear them. anyways, i'm going to go read or sleep or do pushups, i don't know yet. bye.

14" crash = pointless
Hardly.
What a odd thing to say.
Think of it as a small crash or large splash.. but hardly pointless.
In fact 14" crashes have a lil more usefulness then most crashes. They can double for a hi-hat cymbal.
One the best hat's I ever heard used a 14" K Custom Dark crash for the top.

I agree that they're versitile, IMO though they're almost in the special effect cymbal [splash/china..] category.. so i'd buy them last.
14" K Custom Fast Crash over Ufip Rough Series Medium Heavy Bottom works well.

Hmm thats interesting. But too me its too big for a splash and too small for a crash. But hihat seems interesting.

little crashes are good for crashing at the same time as bigger crashes for adding tone and fleshiness to the mix. fattens out the crash sound when you hit two at once.

Depends on the crash... I've played a 14" K custom fast crash that was PERFECT as a large splash. Had a wonderful sound, a bit on the trashy side. I hope to get one some day =/

nah... I've actually played on that cymbal. It's so bad as you might think, it's got a very odd low pitch though.
You just can't get it to build up the nessicary vibrations with out doing a mallet roll, and even then you'd have to be rolling fairly hard to get it to open up.

Oooh.
I found an ancient JVC tape deck in the basement with two microphones.
I hooked it up ghetto style, one on a stand in the corner and one slung over a pipe on the ceiling and recorded myself for a good 40 minutes.
The sound quality is actually pretty decent. No back ground noise, none of the drums were distorted and the only thing that sounded funny was my ride.
Made me realize that I'm sloppier than I thought I was.

I have a confession to make.
I'm really attracted to cheap pop stars who make bad music and only have a record deal because they were on awfully bad American 'talent' shows and just sold themselves to Satan by appearing on VH1's washed up celebrity shows.
So, here's Female Trouble.

While she has a nice body... sorta, the absurdly long and thin arms remind me of a cancer paitent with makeup.
She's what we call a 2 bagger.
You gotta put 2 bags over her head, just incase the first one comes off.

Wow, I never knew you had a thing for fat mammas, Jezen.
I bet you'd love to just dip your pencil in those stretch mark canals and **** every orfice of lard-y *** meat you can find. Just lay there all night up in her fat folds.
I'll be sure to order you a girl from Aunt Jemima's Fattie Cow Mill for your birthday.

Fat mammas are worse the pencil-thin insect girls. I like slim girls, but they have to have some weight on them.
I mean, it's like the difference between Buffy Tyler and the Olsen twins...
Janeway

She's got weight on her!
She doesn't eat meat or drink, so you can't expect her to be fat, but you can't really count her ribs.
I don't like boy's taste in women.

She's got weight on her!
She doesn't eat meat or drink, so you can't expect her to be fat, but you can't really count her ribs.
I don't like boy's taste in women.
Very little, she's dangerouslly close to being underweight. You can tell she's very border line between healthy and non.
Secondly, meat is about 85% protein. People don't get fat from eating meat. Most meat products, and other high protein foods are used by the body to repair/build muscles and tendons.
Thirdly, mens natural taste in women is very logical and makes good sense. The natural instinct is for a man to be attracted to a women who will be able to procreate, be healthy enough to withstand pregancy and live long enough to mother a child.
When girls make themselves that skiny, it's a natural turn off. It doesn't look healthy and doesn't trigger the natural responses because some doubt is cast as to the suitability of the women as a mate due to health concerns.
This goes far beyond consicous thought processes. It stems in the neuro-bio systems of the body.
When a womens body fat % drops below a particular point, they stop menstrating and can no longer become pregnet. This is the bodies natural defense for self preservation. The body, knowing it requires a % of fat stores in the body to handle the stress of a pregnancy, starts shutting systems down in fear of catistrophic failure if pregancy occurs. This is a VERY common occurance among female professional athlete's. This naturally occuring self preservation mechanism in the womens body is the same in all women.
The male neuro-bio systems in the brain also naturally know these things and essentially, unhealthy women are less attractive because of that.

Uh dude.. it's really not that hard.
Go to Home Depot.
Buy your choice of plastic (or metal) tubing with a 5.5" 7.5" or otherwise somethign slightly less then head size Outer Diameter.
Buy your choice of lugs.
Mark out evening spacing around shell. Drill mount holes.
Put lugs on.
Put head on. (possibly change edge if you wish).
Done.
Buy mounting brakets. Drill holes. Put braket on. Mount Octobon.
Not very difficult....

man, i've been messing around with the reverse effects on audacity, came up with some sweet beats using both the regular track and the reversed reverse track playing simultaneously. you record one part normally, then record the same thing backwards, then flip it around. depending on how you align the two in relation to each other, you get some neat sounds out of otherwise bland, robotic sounding midi files.
