GlassPrison, thats a nice looking setup you got there. You should get a remote hi-hat clamped to the rack to eliminate the stand (you don't have any other stands, why not?). I just think that would look cool.

Anyway, I got a question for you guys. My friend who is a drummer just bought a pair of ZBT hats, when I told him they were sub par and he should have invested a little more in some good ones. He told me they were better than my hats (Paiste 400's early 80's, "Made in West Germany" is stamped on them). So what do you guys think? Who has the better hats?

GlassPrison, thats a nice looking setup you got there. You should get a remote hi-hat clamped to the rack to eliminate the stand (you don't have any other stands, why not?). I just think that would look cool.

Anyway, I got a question for you guys. My friend who is a drummer just bought a pair of ZBT hats, when I told him they were sub par and he should have invested a little more in some good ones. He told me they were better than my hats (Paiste 400's early 80's, "Made in West Germany" is stamped on them). So what do you guys think? Who has the better hats?

Argh, My mom is not making any sense at all!. She says I have to save for a new drum set, and shes said that for the past 3 months, Until 2 weeks ago I have a a broken leg for 2 months and couldnt work or anything, and now that my cast is off, she wont let me get a job because I have school, when I ask her how im supposed to save money I cant make she just says that your problem :S for almost half a year now ive been trying to get a drum set, but she wont let me work, so now I have to go super low class like 200-300$ drum set. i'm back. i went today, filled out all my paperwork for an airport security pass (which, by the way, took 2 full hours) but i have to go in tomorrow to get fingerprinted and get my eye scanned. i get to miss my first block class, which is no big deal anyways.

afterwards i went shopping. i ended up buying a tie and some flannel pj pants. the tie is amazing, i can't wait to buy a suit next weekend.

Nice, our Bantam Team just one the Atlantic championship, it annoys the hell out of me cause they bragg about it and they lost the finals to go there, but the other team had to drop out so they went instead, and our highschool team just one there finals, it was a huge game, and on the field we had a large "78" painted on (theres a story behind that if ya want me to tell ya I will) and ya, it was pretty wicked

anyways, today at work, there was a quite interesting scenario. it was around 7:00, and this girl came in. right away i knew she was high on something, since she was shoving chips down her mouth and pointing at pizza, not saying a word. finally she spoke, and she asked how much the pieces were. i told her they range from $3.50 to $5.50, and she started breaking down, saying she didn't have enough for any food anywhere. me, feeling compassion, told her i'd sell them to her for $1 a piece, since we usually start doing that at 8:00. it cheered her up a bit, so that made me happy. this old hag behind her comes up to me and says "i want pizza for $1 too, just like that drug addict got." i looked at her for a second or two, then unloaded on her. i told her that if she went out and spent all her money on coke, had barely any money for food, and came in and broke down on me, maybe i'd give her $2 off on a slice of pizza. i told her that if she got to that state, maybe, just maybe, i'd feel the slightest bit of compassion for her too. but until that time, you're no different than the rest of the people that have come in here the entire day. you're not short on cash. f'uck off, and pay full price or leave. i'm not promoting drug use, or that drug addicts should get deals everywhere they go, but a little compassion goes a long way.

so that's my story. it was fairly stressful, i'm glad to be home.

oh, you have no idea. the security guards are the worst. like vultures. 8:00 on the dot, there's atleast 4 of them that come in and try to tell us to make pizzas for them, so they can buy the whole thing for $6. or they'll come in at 6:30 and ask if we're selling them cheap yet, and i tell them "no, it's $3 a slice now. so unless you want to wait 90 minutes to save $2 on a slice pizza that's not even guaranteed to be made, go for it." idiots.

i've got the technique down, i just have to get it spinning faster and straighter. it takes a while i guess, but learning the non-toss technique gets you half way there.

anyways, i have a question for you guys. for my grad date, i'm bringing an "acquaintance" of mine. it's one of my close friends' close friend. the girl i'm bringing lives out of town, and she wanted to come to our grad, so i said i'd take her. now normally if she was my girlfriend, i'd pay for her. even if she went to our school and i asked her to go, i'd still pay. but the only reason i'm going with her is because she told her friend that she wanted to come to ours, and her friend told me. now i don't think i'm obliged to pay for her at all, neither do my male friends. but the female friends think i should still pay, since she's my "grad date". what do you think? (by the way, all together, it'd be around $250 for me to pay for her, plus the $250 i'm spending on myself)
