today was a crazy day at school. 3 fights, 2 fires (small, no fire alarm). now theres a kid in the hospital with an eye swollen shut and probably a broken nose, along with other crap(blood spots on head from getting smashed into a wall, etc.)

Little children who find it impossibly funny to throw things at people.
I'm sitting there listening to my CD player, minding my own business, and all of a sudden an ink tube comes flying by me and smacks into the seat infront of me. I ignore it.
Then, about 2 minutes later, the rest of the pen smacks into the back of my head. I get up, look at the dipshits who did it, and throw it directly into their faces.
I polietly tell them to stop it, and sit back down.
They do it again.
I stand up, scream at them to ****ing stop it before I ram it through their lymph nodes, and sit back down. I spent the rest of the ride keeping myself from beating the living hell out of them listening to their juvenile comments.

When I was in 9th grade some kid was being an idiot, and said "Marshall beats off on bagels" Something stupid like that. He was with a friend so he felt tough :rolleyes: I just got in his face, got angry (Although I didn't really care) and started yelling at him in my deepest and loudest voice.

I'm actually a really nice guy, but I was just sick and tired of people.

Drum stuff is a lot more expensive for us Britains. For example a Sabian Vault crash would cost us the equivalent of $300. But luckily I managed to snag a Vault Crash one month old today for the equivalent of $160, which in the UK is a complete bargain.

Yeah Paiste Is cool, There cymbals sound very mechanical too me, which is cool for larger cymbals....but I still revert back to K and K customs for splashes ;)

With that said, I have found a cymbal in the zildjian line that I might buy. If I end up purchasing (IT) Hopefully it will have some shock value (If you know my cymbal likings and dislikings)

Went to Taste of Chaos last night, had a blast. Story of the Year stole the show, they have the best stage presence I've ever seen. Their drummer was pretty decent, probably had the best technique out of all the drummers that played.

I have a gig tonight as well, pity I only got 5 hours sleep last night but owell, I think I'll have a sleep today before I go. I'll post some pics from it tomorrow.

i played a killer of a gig last night. i was a small local festival to promote local bands and stuff. about 150 people there. there were 8 bands in all, some better than others. the first 4 wernt that good (however one of them was a group of 8 year olds called sonic fury so you've go to them credit for getting up there), we were 6th on the bill which i thought was pretty good considering it was this bands first gig. we played everything spot on perfect but had to cut the set short because one of the earlier bands played for too long which kinda sucked. on the whole it was a good night. we were offered a gig in manchester by a band called pegasi who are signed to a local label so that was pretty cool too.

Most types of food are good. Speaking of food, in foods class on thursday I cut my finger while cutting apples. We had a short class so we didn't have a demo and had to make the apple crisp really fast so it get in the oven for the full 30min. So I had made the topping then I started to help my partner cut apples, I was going really quickly and then the knife just slipped and took a nice chunk out of my index finger. So now it hurts to play drums.

This kid I know and dislike spent $4,000 on three semesters of classes at a communtiy college, only to fail his major and achieve a less than spectacular GPA.
Then, deciding that he was ready for it, blew a whole $14,000 on going to a four year school, but then decided he didn't like the school, and dropped out. The freaking retard dropped out before he could get money back, so now he's nearly $20k in the hole.
The hilarious thing is, his father, who's paying for all of it, lost his job!

On another note, Travis Barker in the warped tour with the transplants used a thing called a "bass dropper" over where a aux snare would be. I believe its some kind of synthizier, and anyone here know about? please help.

well i had my first day of work in a long time today, it was great. i go in there, expecting to be doing all my paperwork (apparently you need ALOT of paperwork followed by ALOT of background checks to obtain an all access pass to an airport, who would have guessed...) but all that only took about an hour. now i have to get my parents to fill out the rest of the stuff. one of the questions was "what jobs/schooling have you had in the last 5 years?" and luckily i didn't have to write that i used to work at a gun club, since that was 6 years ago. :lol:

anyways, i learned how to make d'amn near everything that's made in the restaurant, and any pizza that got burned in the oven, i got them to save it and leave it in the back room for me to pick through. i smell of pizza, ooh i love that smell. i had to put my hair in a ponytail and wear a golf shirt, something i haven't done in my whole life :lol: anyways, i made $75 today. go me.

right away we're going to my friend's house to have a HUGE fire, and i mean huge. his fire pit is actually 10x10 feet, and we actually have to call the rcmp station beforehand to warn them that a house isn't on fire.

I used to live across the street from Jehova's wittnesses.
The woman moved in with a 90-something year old man with her two mentally disabled children and basically wiped out his entire bank account.
On top of that, they wouldn't let the man celebrate Christmas, even though it was his favorite holiday and he used to give the whole street presents.
Oh, and when they do that special day for Jehova's wittnesses at theme parks, they have to shut down most of the little shops because they steal everything.

anyways, i'm going to bed now. i've been up since 6:30, which is the earliest i've been up in atleast 3 years. my parents and neighbors are all drunk, playing cards in the room right next to my bedroom, they're all yelling and whatnot, you know, common drunk behaviour.

This is a bit of a stupid question, but i'm quite unsure of how to write about it.
In music class this year, there have been questions on drums in pieces etc.

Eg. What cymbal is being used in the main section of this piece?

Now, I need to know how to be able to distinguish a certain cymbal from another. I do play drums, but only to a certain extent (I have a crappy starter drum set, just a basic set, Hi-hat, snare, floor tom, bass, crash and two toms).

Any help would be muchly appreciated guys' :)

well, the hi-hat as you know is a beat cymbal along with the ride. they are used for keeping a steady beat on. i doubt you will need to now much more than that
