Oh crap, I just came back from the bank and their is this hot girl that works there. I have seen here there a few times now. I think I may have an advantage because she is freakin' tall and so am I. She has to be over 6'3'' at least, and I am 6'5''. I know girls don't want to be the taller one. The only problem is she is not a teller, she works doing other stuff in the background and I don't know how to arrange a situation where I can talk to her without being obvious.

What I would do. Is tell her the ATM machine isnt working on her way out from work, When she comes over and instantly gets it working, give her a compliment. Then just Mack on her :cool:

I need a little help with some tabs, so if someone could explain it to me would be great. Im trying to play Spiders by SOAD, but there are some notations in the tabs that i cant understand. Like the letter d or g. I think d stands for drag and g stands for ghost strike, but i dont know how to play them. I searched on google and on vicfirth, but i couldnt find too much about ghost strikes. I think its better for me to ask here than doing a thread on it, so if someone can explain those notations to me I would be very thankful.

i just had a wonderful 3 hour nap infront of the tv. this is my new routine: monday i don't nap. tuesday i nap for 3 hours until my mom comes home. wednesday is optional. thursday i nap for 2 hours until my mom comes home. friday, no napping. weekend i sleep as much as possible.

Yeah we just finished doing trig in precalc. Its probably one of my favorite units. I especially like it cause my friend understands it so he doesn't call me everynight asking for help with his homework!

i have no clue what that is... trig is my worst subject out of everything. no matter how hard i try, i can't wrap my mind around the whole idea of it. i've tried for 4 years, and i'm still at the level i was when i first learned about it. thankfully there's always cheating on tests, where the marks really are. :lol:

anyways, we watched this '60 minutes' special in english today about these kids whose brains' social (speaking, listening, understanding) aspect is pretty much absent, not to mention they're blind. but the kids can play anything on piano. the one kid could play beethoven on piano before he could say "mom". the lady would play 4 notes in order, and the kid could name each note she played. she'd play a minute of a song on piano that the kid had never heard before, he'd teach it to himself in 2 minutes, just by memory of what it sounded like. their improv was amazing too. the lady would play a section of a song the kid had never heard before, and the second time around, the kid would improv over it. one guy took the song 'fur elise' and interpreted it in the way mozart and all these other guys would have played it, yet he couldn't lift 3 fingers on demand. it was amazing. the study was on the theory that music and the understanding of music was what got their brains to 'work', so to say.

(by the way, this had no relevance to my english class whatsoever)

I ussually make a post to tell you about things that happened, at school with stupidity but they have a point on philosiphy. Today I was learning my scales on the marimbas(learned circle of 4ths in 45 minutes... yeah im good :thumb: ) and the "best" drummer in the school is practicing some things and in the book there was a page or pages of backbeats with straight eigth and he was trying to play one, and it sounded DISGUSTING!!!, he kept hitting his sticks when he would go for the backbeat and the hihat hits were uneven, but I hear it and I tell him, you should raise the hihats, then he looks at me and tells me not to tell him how to play drums... I swear this kid is pissing me off, I'm just gonna disgrace him one of these days soo badly. I don't think like this maybe once a week when he pisses me off, but he thinks hes good and he doesn't take advice. If I tell him something about jazz okay its different, I haven't been playing jazz alot, but I know my backbeats and if your hitting your sticks together on the backbeats it means raise your hats(he plays matched and he can't handle open handed) the palm of my hand to the top of my middle finger is about how far the snare head is from the hats. Then he keeps messing up the backbeat and he gets pissed and hits all the drums voilently, then he plays it again and I go yo let me try it and he gets pissed and says no then I say its mad easy let me show you, then he goes how bout I punch you in the face. I looked at him then he starts playing, I swear I'm going to outdrum him then punch him in the face. Kid pisses me off soooo much

I heard about that the whole provence shuting down while the strike was still on but then it never happened. Ya, my science teacher was saying how they got nothing at all, same salery and they had to keep the same class sizes. If everything your saying is true then those few days will be rather weird. Every union companie or anything will be on strike. Their will only be private companies in buisness. These past three days have felt like a week for me, all have them have been super long and boring.

well i took an aptitude test today. looks like my best "categories" are "artistic, realistic, and franchisal" the counsellor really had no idea what she was doing, so i didn't learn anything more than if i took the test at home, but oh well. anyways, one of my friends refused to take the test because he "doesn't want his whole life decided from a test". in other words, he wants to work at mcdonald's until he's 35, then he'll realize he needs to go back to school and take some courses to get into a job that makes him some money.

and i'm finally getting a job. i'm working at sbarro in the airport, i get to get fingerprinted and get my eyes scanned for security purposes. starting wage is $10, and i pretty much get to choose my hours, since my friend that hired me is the team leader. i'll finally have money now.

ive had it for awhile, i didnt find the rodney holmes interview interesting at all...the carter beauford transcriptions werent of any songs i found interesting enough to learn either...i thought josh eppard using oven mitts as gloves kind of interesting, all in all i think the guide to recovering your drums was most useful. though it left some stuff out

well I finally got my new computer up and running that i got a week ago (bad motherboard, got it replaced) so now I have two rigs....my old one is for playing older games (2001 and earlier, it can run 2002-2003 games okay but not incredibally smooth) and for music composition and all my art stuff that I do, where this machine is just for running newer games.

^ close all browsers, if you have any programs running in the background close them, disconnect your internet explorer (not your internet) or firefox if thats what youve got, disconnect your Multimedia program (limewire, kazaa, etc). you can clean your harddrive, reformat, clean your temp internet files...theres alot of stuff you can do

Cept ive got 1Gb RAM, 200Gb HDD and a 256mb GeForce PCX 5750. Soundcard is a soundblaster 7.1 with only 5.1 speakers :p

I'd up that RAM to 1gig for gaming, I have a similar setup with 1gig of corsair and it speeds through all games. (except Quake 4 on ultra high settings '( )

Wuhan 12, 14(x2), 16 chinas and some cymbal stackers. im gonna stack the 12 on top of one 14 and a 14 on top of one 16 and thats about it. might ask for an 18inch china too just to get one but i really wanna stack some wuhan chinas i think itll sound awesome.

My roomate was watching Discovery Health while i was typing my hist. report and i heard the name Thomas Lang.

they showed his wife having twins. at first i thought it was just a coincidence, but than i saw his face and heard him talk, plus the narator said he was Austrian.

i just thought that was pretty cool. Thomas Lang was on Discovery Health talking about his new (new at the time of the recording) twins.

i don't know how up to date that episode was however.

You know what I hate?
Little children who find it impossibly funny to throw things at people.
I'm sitting there listening to my CD player, minding my own business, and all of a sudden an ink tube comes flying by me and smacks into the seat infront of me. I ignore it.
Then, about 2 minutes later, the rest of the pen smacks into the back of my head. I get up, look at the dipshits who did it, and throw it directly into their faces.
I polietly tell them to stop it, and sit back down.
They do it again.
I stand up, scream at them to ****ing stop it before I ram it through their lymph nodes, and sit back down. I spent the rest of the ride keeping myself from beating the living hell out of them listening to their juvenile comments.
The good thing is, the little brat that did it lives down the street from me.
I see arson in my future.
