I'm with verizon. Free nights, weekends, free to any verizon customer, all nation wide calling, 450 anytime mins, voice mail, caller id, etc
Plan is $40/month, phone was $70 after rebate.
Only time I use anytime mins is calls during the week days daytime, to or from non verizon customers.
Since an overhwleming amount of people in this area have verizon, including almost every person I know. It's pretty much unlimited mins for me.
I also get a discount through my employer that's like 16% off everything aformentioned.

Alright, homecoming is done and over, it was KICKASS! My girlfriend had a GREAT time. The DJ was great, he's actually our theology teacher, but he's really young. He's 28, so he was awesome. Our dean requested sex bomb, it was hilarious. Almost all the chaperones/teachers danced, including two monks. The only song that people didnt like was Holla-back Girl, and that was played for our football team.
The atmosphere was great, really informal, but formal at the same time. Two of my really good friends were King and Queen, so it's all good.
Without further ado, pictures.
My girlfriend (Monika) and I (Noah) (just to warn you, I ALWAYS look bad in pictures)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/NHNwombat/Homecoming/2005_0316Oct050106.jpg
Two of my VERY VERY close friends, who are dating as well (John and Emily)

Three of my friends and me (Me, Dylan, John and Kenzie
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/NHNwombat/Homecoming/2005_0316Oct050111.jpg
And finally, my REALLY close group of friends minus two people, we know eachother really well. The blonde-haired one is my guitarist, the other guy is our sound man/eggshaker player.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/NHNwombat/Homecoming/2005_0316Oct050113.jpg
Comments? I look pretty bad in these pictures, but Monika was really pretty. She always is, but she was gorgeous last night. And then there's John, who is referred to as the "pretty boy"
A whole month?
I hear wedding bells.

Awsome wombat. Sounds like you had a really good time.
Hey rockin hows that paiste crash workin out?
The 2oo2 I bout a while ago? Or the old school giant beat i'm trying to snag from my school?
The 2oo2 is working out awsome, fits really well with the rest of my cymbals, and sounds awsome. Buying deaf worked out this time, although I did try the 18" at L&M so that gave me a rough idea.
The giant beat, I havn't gotten around to asking him about it yet. I think i'm going to wait a bit longer beacause I already asked him last year and he said no but i'm not sure if he knew I was talking about the crash. Since there was a rivited (sp?) ride there too.

thanksgiving tonight, whooooo!!! i love turkey, but it's usually really dry at the person's house we almost always go to for thanksgiving. but thankfully, we're not going there this year. i think we're just staying home.
well yesterday, i was working on a song using only kitchen items, and it was going pretty well. but then my computer crashed. so i'm gonna work on it again today. no drumsticks or anything, only things you would use to make food. i got inspired to do this when i was at my friends for lunch, and i was messing around with a little pan, a baster, and some measuring spoons. i had some pretty good stuff going on, too.

dam'n, my friend's mom just called and invited my family over. my mom's best friends with her, so she said we'd go. so i called my friends and asked them where they were eating, and most of them are going to the same place my family's going, so it won't be too bad. the turkey she makes is always so dry though, and we always eat at 8-9 there, i hate it. oh well...
i just came up with a sweet groove while playing drums. i started playing around with shuffles, then i switched the sticking around for the first half, and got this really cool sounding groove. it almost sounds like it's in straight 4, but at the same time it sounds like 12/8. i'll transcribe it out, since i know most of you hate tabs.

man, i was just cleaning up the marching snare drum my friend lent me, and the bottom of the batter head has a piece of tape dated january 24, 1976. i didn't think this thing was that old. it's a 30 year old batter head, still in near perfect condition, and still sounds great. i think i'm going to buy new heads for it, what are some good marching heads? i'm guessing they'd be different from your regular snare drum, but i may be wrong.
but i'm going to go shower now, since it's 5:48, and i'm supposed to be over at my friend's house for supper right away, so i'll talk to you all later, after i'm full of turkey. and mashed potatoes, yum.

On another note, I got a new cell.. yippee!
Same here. Why not spend like twice as much for good chron, than buy weak shiat for CHEAPER yes but 4 times the amount of highs with the thready high grade greens. Speaking of drugs, i told you guys i was gonna try shrooms this weekend but my dealer couldnt provide. So next weekend this cool girl and I are gonna try em for our first time, while watching itunes visualizations and a wicked good music mix (havnt totally decided what songs) Its going to be so totally awsome. She has GREAT taste in music.... her favorite band is DT and her second is the dooooooors!!!!! I first approached her to tell her how awsome her doors shirt was.
Anyone else have any comments about herb, shrooms, girls, the doors, or wicked awsome itunes visualtions?
(i sat for an hour and thirty minutes watching them last friday.... the entire pink floyd album and a hendrix mix, i wasnt under the influence and it was still wicked awsome!)

g'day guys. i need to make a decision with my kit, should i go dark or light for the majority of the sounds in there. i've ordered a 22" K Heavy Ride and 13" K/Z Dyno Hats, but am not sure where to go with crashes; i have a 20" Innovations Raw Crash which is fairly bright, and a 16" K Custom Special Dry Crash. mm..? I could never understand what people liked about it. It's just fake synthesized music with someone talking and yelling a lot. Rappers do seem to like saying their own name a lot don't they? (ex. Mike Jones, I'm so f***ing sick of everyone saying that).

to loyton about the shrooms thing, don't expect to do them and then just sit around. i was expecting something like that, but it was the complete opposite for me. i wanted to go somewhere, and when we finally got to where i wanted to go, we'd want to go somewhere else, for the first half (around 3 hours). then the next 3 hours, it started wearing off, and i wanted to go for a little walk or something, but i just sat on my couch and watched tv, since everyone else was coming down too.
on a side note, me and my friends are doing shrooms again, and this time i know what to expect, so i'm hoping i enjoy it alot more. i think we may get one or more friends to do it too, since it was only 3 of us last time.

i didn't eat much, since all the food looked/tasted terrible. i told my mom that we wouldn't be eating until atleast 8 (i think the earliest we've eaten there was about 7), and it was 8:30 when most of the food was ready, so we just grabbed some at that time and then got up to get more as the rest was ready. the turkey was so dry, and the gravy was so watery. and the potatoes, even though they looked quite good, tasted terrible. the carrots were so overcooked too, they were like baby mush. 2 of my friends had 4 thanksgiving meals each today.

A great suggestion, but the beer doesn't keep cool that way.
Just fill an eskie full of ice then pour in half a bag of salt. The salt lowers the freezing temperature of water. So instead of having Ice at 0 degrees celcius, you've got water at -16 degrees celcius. It chills beers perfectally.
Another good idea is to get one of those Co2 Fire Extinguishers, the ones with the big nozzels on 'em. Put the nozzel over a long-neck and give it a spray for a few seconds.

about the strike: who cares if the 1500-2000 people are pissed, there only pissed cuz they have to pay daycare when otherwise they can just ship there kids off to school..and the teachers are fighting for the right things, there on the right side of this whole thing...yes we need smaller classes, we need that very much. yes i think they should be paid more, asmuch as we dont like school, or our teachers, they help us become who we are and shape our world as we know it, is that not worth raising abit over the tobacco companies or mcdonalds? who make 1000 times more than almost any other companies on the planet?
apparently even after being legislated back there not going back. not till thursday at least, in which after that they will all be fined thousands of dollars out of there own pockets to fight for there cause

Wow that's pretty crazy.
One time a couple years ago, the fire alarm went off for some reason, then afterwards me and a couple friends got called into the principals office because they thought we were smoking in the bathrooms and that we set off the alarms. It was pretty stupid. They even searched all our bags for cigarettes. And I didn't even smoke!
They cant search your bags unless a cop is there, oyu should of yelled at them, and then they would get suspicious and angry then they would PWN themselves.
This security gaurd pulled a james bond and screeched in front of me as me ans my friend were passing a parking lot on the side walk. Almost ran over my feet. He thought we shot some ducks(with bb guns), i didnt have any id and he was calling the cops over so they could cite us. I thought it was funny, i knew who did it but i wanted to see what would happen. I asked if we were on a hidden cammera show but he ignored us then i kept asking him questions making it seem like a joke, i embarrassed him so much that he pretended to get a call and started talking on his walky talkie and ran into the car and drove away. That was a good day.

Groove hats, like, what a good name. Sabian is top notch with some of their names. Even if they sounded like ****, who cares they're GROOVE hats.
You'll have so many cool points with all those HHX (hats count for double, each cymbal).

Oh man! My boss's Wife came in today (Cute, little, dark haired lady, in her early 40s) and made some of us lunch (chicken, fettuccini, and alfredo sauce). Oh man was it good! She made the THICKEST Alfredo sauce I have ever tasted. As i ate it, i could feel it running down into my stomache. Oh god i was in heaven....

i hear ya on that. things going through my head when im choosing
"oh, but maybe if i hit it at this angle it will be better"
"wait, how long was that decay, i dont want it to be shorter than 3.25 seconds"
"damnit kid[playing on kit] shutup, im actually going to buy something"
every now and then you get luck and you hit a pair of hats or something and just know thats what your getting. ive had that happen on 2 occasions, with paiste crunch hats, and paiste dark energy splash.

Well, it's official. I'm in charge of our high school drumline next year. So Thursday at practice I'll get a little preview because the current section leader will be gone. I'm uber happy. :)
Oh, and I'm working on a drum call based on 6:00 by DT. It should be fun.
