Tonight was good times at the drum off, Didnt win but met alot of great players. I talked to an older guy in his later 40's who had similar background with me, big peart and carl palmer fan he ended up winning and a younger black kid was runner-up. I guess it was really close as far as the voting went. Out of the 3 years i've played in it this one was the best got alot of nice complements after... good times. :)

i got in a few fistfights in soccer too, but that had nothing to do with the coaching. mostly just me taking charge and setting the mood for the rest of the game. if there was one kid going around hitting all the little kids on our team, i was the guy who'd be right on his side, pissing him off the whole time. eventually they snap, and start throwing punches. it's really funny too. i'm always the good guy though, since i don't throw the punches first.
and congrats jim, the experience is what matters.
(i know i keep asking, but can you get rid of my stars please?)

i tell you what soccer is a really tough game. in fact it's number one on the list of the most dangerous sports.
i used to play for about 6 years and was in love with the sport, but they didn't offer it in highschool until my junior year and i had already lost some of my interest so i didn't play. wish i had though.

That's cool jim. As you said it's a great experience and well theres always next year, to show up gc.
TGP that reminded me of how my guitarist broke his collar bone playin rugby yesterday. It sucks so much he can't play guitar for 3 weeks or somthing. So now we won't jam for way to long of a time, in the end it will be about 2 months total or so.
Sic I'm normally one of those guys to, when I play mid. I get right up in your face and talk back quite a bit, I got some other kid to get a red card by retaliating back at me. I've stoped that, somewhat, this year as I got kicked off the team i'm on now a couple years ago because of my attitude, so I figure it's a good team and i'd rather stay on it why not just not get so mad on the feild.

haha thas exactly what i used to do. Everyone on the other teams hated me. I got this one mexican guy so made that he just ran straight for me, i ended up flipping over because we were running at eachother and my brain decided to turn off or something.

^ haha. One game two years ago this little fat kid was being really cheap so I started to push at him and do the same thing he did to me, except I beat him down the wing :p Then totaly slide tackled me from behind so I was super pissed at him as he didn't even get a warning from the ref. I walked up to him and started pushing him a bit then he just pushed me back and was super pissed. As he was walking away to get back into position I shoved from behind, he was then so pissed that while he was on the ground he kicked out both my knees and I fell on him. The ref saw this and called us both over, he obviously knew that I had done somthing to the kid eventhough I don't think he saw it. He talked to both of us and then after he finished the kid started to walk away, the ref called him back and showed him the red card, he showed me a yellow and asked for my name and stuff, but while he was doing that I couldn't help laughing as the kid that got a red card was walkin off the feild crying! It was one of the funnier moments ever playing soccer. That little pansy was such a cheap bitch and then when he got what he deserved he couldn't even handle it

hahaha was his name julian?
there was this fat kid on my team, he was the clumsiest player that i have ever seen, i dont know why he was playing soccer. During a game for some reason he went for the sam ball as he did, he endd up stepping on my toes and kept running into me so i ended up falling on my back while he was still standing on my toes. he cried about that.

Ahh it's not about that or winning really, when we were all in the back before drawing names we were all talkin, real good bunch a guys too! The older guy in his 40's and a younger black guy my age got along and started talkin for awhile, just about how playing in these is fun and we got each others numbers and stuff so we can jam out at the house was pretty cool! Everyone pretty much agreed that more then anything everyone there is there to have a good time which we all did. I guess the judging came down to 4 were the scores were so close the judges had to make a pick, the guy they picked was the older man and he was a good choice he had some style and played very good, im going to watch him in the store finals.

My local is Cheshunt, where i live :D But it is cheaper to go to a underground station (Oakwood/Cockerfoster's are really easy to get to, go to pottor's bar on the m25, come off, and it is the 3rd exit, then follow that road), then to get the train from my local station in to london.

What would be the difference between the canadian ones and any other one? It was such an awsome deal though, my band teacher had them just sitting around and was using B8's instead. So he offered them to me cheap. They also have a giant beat crash, one of the ones before the line was discontinued. I am determind to get that from them by the end of this year, as it too just sits there not getting used at all.

they are the second best ones behind the istanbuls. I meant it in a positive way though, these are no modern K's. They are more rare because they were made over a 4 year period of time one by one i think they were made by one person but im not sure about that. whoa, read this. i just found it. very very weird.
The US standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet 8.5 inches. That's an exceedingly odd number. Why was that gauge used? Because that's the way they built them in England, and English expatriates built the US railroads. Why did the English build them like that? Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the pre-railroad tramways, and that's the gauge they used. Why did 'they' use that gauge then? Because the people who built the tramways used the same jigs and tools that they used for building wagons, which used that wheel spacing. Okay! Why did the wagons have that particular odd wheel spacing? Well, if they tried to use any other spacing, the wagon wheels would break on some of the old, long distance roads in England, because that's the spacing of the wheel ruts. So who built those old rutted roads? The first long distance roads in Europe (and England) were built by Imperial Rome for their legions. The roads have been used ever since. And the ruts? Roman war chariots first made the initial ruts, which everyone else had to match for fear of destroying their wagon wheels and wagons. Since the chariots were made for, or by Imperial Rome, they were all alike in the matter of wheel spacing. Thus, we have the answer to the original question. The United States standard railroad gauge of 4 feet, 8.5 inches derives from the original specification for an Imperial Roman war chariot. Specifications and bureaucracies live forever. So, the next time you are handed a specification and wonder which horses rear came up with it, you may be exactly right. Because the Imperial Roman war chariots were made just wide enough to accommodate the back ends of two war-horses. And now, the twist to the story...There's an interesting extension to the story about railroad gauges and horses' behinds. When we see a Space Shuttle sitting on its launch pad, there are two big booster rockets attached to the sides of the main fuel tank. These are solid rocket boosters, or SRBs. Thiokol makes the SRBs at their factory at Utah. The engineers who designed the SRBs might have preferred to make them a bit fatter, but the SRBs had to be shipped by train from the factory to the launch site. The railroad line from the factory had to run through a tunnel in the mountains. The SRBs had to fit through that tunnel. The tunnel is slightly wider than the railroad track, and the railroad track is about as wide as two horses’ behinds. So, the major design feature of what is arguably the world's most advanced transportation system was determined by the width of a Horse's a'ss!

#19 is okay, i perfer more of a tear drop style. as far as a color sceme goes, i think a blue sparkle with black hardware would look real nice. i've always liked blue with black or black with chrome hardware.

I've never liked the bowtie lugs. I didn't really consider them seriously for my Conaways. I've always liked the look of the black hardware with lighter colors like natural maple, or silver/grey, or yellow.

Hey everyone. I saw a Ludwig snare in the pawnshop the other day. It was a 5x14, and even though I'm more a fan of deep snares, this is from the 60's, and was only $74....
Only problem is, it didn't have a model name on it or anything. It was a torquise-ish metal snare...It looked kind of like a supraphonic...but I wasn't sure if it was. I think goosefilms has the same snare, but I can't recall if his is a supraphonic, or if it was this off-torquise colour. I know my description is vague...but any help would really be appreciated.

Alright folks, tonight is homecoming. It's going to be amazing, I'm going with my girlfriend. She's wearing a black and red dress, I'm wearing a black suitcoat, black pants, grey shirt and a red tie. I'm picking her up at 5;15, dinner is at 6:00. Afterwards, we're going to my friends house and hanging out all night with a couple friends.
Oh, and my band got 3rd last night in our school talent show. We were REALLY surprised, it was a good time though. The only bad thing was, about 4 hours before we performed I got stung by a bee on the palm of my hand, kinda near the thumb. So it hurt like a bitch while playing.

no problemo, my friend.
well my mom's finally leaving, i can finally practice drums, yay. i hate practicing when my family's home because our basement has no soundproofing whatsoever at the moment, so i feel guilty that no one else can really watch tv, hear the phone ring, listen to music, etc. so i just wait until they leave before i sit behind my kit. me and my dad are going to be finishing the basement right away, when it snows.
my hands smell like potatoes. i was peeling them at my friends house (i'm amazing at peeling potatoes by the way) and i have that smell on my hands. i washed them twice, and showered, but i can still smell potatoes.

It happened to fast to tell anyone, really. It's been awhile since something like that has popped up. Jim did a great job cleaning it up last night and Travis did a did also today.

I can't believe some people have nothing better to do with their time than to spam misc. websites. It's nothing more than hi-tech vandalism.

someone explain to me what a homecoming is
It's a welcoming back.
Usually its about school spirit yaddabull, and then you have a formal dance where a king, queen, prince, princess, bearess, bear, and 6 courting people are chosen.
This year at my school a retard who apparently fakes his retardation was chosen, bringing us to a whole new low.

Haha I'm so happy, my band got a support slot on a tour! Its just around our city and its mainly school and hall shows but for only being together 6 months or so its awesome.
The only bad part is that its on right when my exams are, so I've had to speak to them about some of the dates but they are understanding guys and said they'll bump some dates around so I'm not totally stressed.
It'll be our first paying gig as well, w00t!
