Haha yea. Worse weight problem because of two reasons. As Jim said.. no will power or selfcontrol. Secondly our government, as smart as they are right? Allows the sale of HORRIBLE fast food on a mass basis. Wich of course generates billions of dollars in tax dollars for the government, medical industry revenue and so forth.

Funny, I came home to find a large package.. but I knew what it was so I frowned. A very very big law book that I need read a lot of for a test next week :(

the thing is, they cant close them unless every location completely bombs health inspection. but jim was dead on with the will power thing. people make their lives so busy that they cant find the time to go home and make something to eat or go out somewhere decent.

People don't eat to survive, anymore.
They eat when they feel the 'need' to have somthing (For example, a chocolate biscuit)...
Like, I don't think cavemen were running around killing something everytime they thought they were hungry...

We are. The U.S is the king of the fatasses i'll tell ya that and im a very patriotic american. People don't have any willpower anymore.
Companies have been known (eg Pringles) to put addictive, yet allowed, chemicals into foods. You don't have a dependecy on the food, but you just want to eat it.
My family has gone all organic and we mostly eat all our own produce. I have gone from being overweight and asmatic to relativley healthy in just a few months.
All I had to do was instead of going for a chocolate bar, have a boiled egg or an apple.
spike9908
09-23-2005, 05:53 PM
man, i wish i had the will power to go organic, but at least i can keep from eating junk all day, and im already really healthy and a good weight. i can imagine how fast you could get healthy only/mostly eating organic food.

poppinfresh
09-24-2005, 01:46 AM
oh thanks the i had trouble though, we had to make that video a few times cause the idiot who filmed me kept shaking.
I accomplished so much today. Me and my friend had zippy jackets on. So we pretended to be birds and i can do a pretty good crow impression. So everytime a car stopped in front of us and blocked our way we flew around the car a couple times and crowed. Then we got to guitar center, nothing interesting except this gothic girl with extremely low self esteem was playing guitar and my friend told me to watch her shred it was pretty amusing because she sucked and while we were standing next to her looking at really fast guitars she kept looking at us to make sure we were amazed. Holy **** im typing perfectly what the ****.
Then my badminton friend called and said that barefoot coffee roasters had free everything for their second anniversary so we went there. Some hick band was playing there. I ordered the thing with the most sugar, i was going to get another one but i kept telling them that they take so long and she wouldnt give me any. So i got a cup of ice and we through ice at this asian guy. Then we had races with those flicky things and the steel ball that you try to get into the U. I didnt win, mine didnt have a ball and i didnt realize it till later. Then we ran around outside screaming at people and jumping on cars. oh my friend covered his car in zumiezs stickers it looks pretty awesome, it looks way faster now.

I imagined you saying that post really fast in one breath, your voice getting higher and higher as it went on.
The image of two kids running around a car squawking is higly amusing, although I personally would have slammed open my door. ;)
So tonight, work, but we were out of Chocolate Chip cookies, so I had to go to another store to borrow some. On the way there, a firetruck comes ROARING behind me, I pull over and it turns right a few streets down (towards Metro North Mall and another McDonalds, but not the one I was borrowing from). Further down the road, I see another firetruck coming in the same direction. I borrow the cookies and leave.
I get to the intersection where the firetruck turned, and I see an ambulance speeding down the road, and I'm stopped at a red light. Smoke is EVERYWHERE, you can smell something burning really thick in the air (windows down, as always lol)
I was tempted to check it out but I went back to work cause the girl I like was working and she was teaching me to Waltz in between orders (lol!) and she was off soon.
I guess I'll find out what happened tomorrow on the news.
Oh yeah, this totally happened just a few blocks from my house.

hey guys i need help deciding what to become.
my mom syas doctor or lawyer. But i hate those **** ****ing jobs. She also says that i have to get into stanford but dont worry about that i told her to be more realistic.
first i said psychologist, and she said they are all crazy. Even though they make like 500 bucks an hour. then i said neurologist and that was good then i realized what it was so i dont want to do that. Then i said sound engineering and ive been going to community college for that so i almost have my degreee so i wont have trouble getting into colege for that, but she heard the word sound and said no, even tohugh the top 10% make 82,512 dolla a year and job growth is expected to increase dramatically by 2012, and theres a lot of jobs there. I want to do something hands, something where i can keep my brain working and keep my hands busy, i dont want to let my brain rot and go to waste. I was thinking chef but apparently thats not good. She just wants it to sound good when she tells her friends. "my son is going to stanford...hes studying law...i drive a merdcedes...my son PWNS yours."
Uh i dont really know what to become at this point apparently acording to my mommy computers are going to take over everything and the only things people will know how to do is get sick and sue eachother. She thinks computers will take over all the jobs even though i repeatedly proved her wrong. I say screw mom and become whatever i want but shes the one with the money, not me.

How about a compromise of sorts Poppin?
Major in something to impress your mom and friends (Heck...who WOULDN'T want a law degree, just to get in an argument with your friend and bust it out. "I am better than you, assclown." ) and then Minor in something you want.
Or you can Major in what you want and Minor in something fancy, but tell your mom it's the other way around lol
poppinfresh
09-24-2005, 02:34 AM
my mom says "just take four years law, then you can do whatever you want." WHAT A ****ING WASTE OF TIME THATS 4 DMAN YEARS WASTED IF IM NOT GOGING TO DO LAW!!!!!!!!
PowerStamp
09-24-2005, 02:40 AM
Well while your mom is right that those are both EXCELLENT degrees to get that will land you in the "set for life" category, if you don't particularly care for either one it won't be any different to you than mowing lawns or working in a grocery store, just a drudge-bore job.
Do you not even know what you want to do yet? (just asking)
If not, you might want to just go to Community College for a year. Much cheaper, lets you get some credits built up and you can get ideas of what you want to do from classmates and your teachers.
poppinfresh
09-24-2005, 02:44 AM

If you have any idea what college you want to go to, you could check their website (or just pick a few colleges and check their sites) and see what they offer.
I'm pretty sure there's somebody there you could call, College Counselor or something similar to that, that you could tell them your interests, the kind of job you'd want, where you excell in school/work, etc etc and they could give some suggestions.
Start checking out some college websites for course studies, and that'll get you a foot in the right direction.
First question to ask yourself: What makes me happy?
Second question: Is this something I truly love and could do for the next 50+ years?
get my drift?
Anyways, good luck man, I'm out for the night.

Ok. Tonight at work, was freaking AWESOME. Sure it was the same old same old, but this semi-hot chick (not hot, but pretty good looking) was doing the same semi-flirt thing she always does where I'm never sure if she's joking or not.
Being the clown I am I told her I didn't mind if she looked at my *** or even grabbed it at any time, and I expected a laugh or something but a few seconds later a grab. ;) haha
ALL NIGHT she was all over me. Good times.
Oh yeah. When I was on break in the crew room (no cameras ;) haha) she walked back there and made a joke that I needed to Iron my pants. So I said OK and pulled my pants down (boxers on of course). I caught her lookin after she walked away. ;)
Ok the story was way better when it happened, but you get my drift.

well yesterday, i went shopping with 3 lady friends and one of my man friends. they looked at some dresses and i tried on some tuxes. man i look amazing in a tux. i've never been in a tux, apart from when i was like 2 and at a wedding, you know how it is.
well me and my friend wanted some ties, so we went to this one store, and the ties started at $150. that was the cheapest tie. so we went to zellers and checked out some zip-up ties for $10. we didn't buy them anyways, but the zip-ups were awesome.
well i found a helium balloon stuck to the roof within 5 minutes of getting to the mall and tied it to my wrist, carried it around for hours. then when we were leaving, i tied a napkin to it, and wrote "P'ENIS" on the napkin, then let it fly up above the restaurant above us. sooner or later it's gonna come down on someone's table. i wanted to write something creepy like "i'm watching you" or something, but they didn't take so kindly to that idea.
so me and my friend traded in our quarters for pennies at various stores, and eventually got about $2.50 in pennies. we sat down and threw them at this one bell in the boat area of the mall. (we usually do this with whatever spare change we have, but that's just like 10 pennies each)
i eventually bought 3 dvd's and 2 magazines: in the army now, orgazmo, and lamb of god - killadelphia. magazines were wonkavision, and punk planet.
and now i'm going to go play drums, since i took a day off work to get in a good few hours of practice.

Ugh, I start theater next week for our school talent show, I'm the light designer and head light techie, which means a ****load of work. It's going to suck. Next weekend I spend from 6Am - 6PM at school on saturday, and then go in sunday to finish whatever I didnt on saturday. Then that entire week leading up to friday I'm working evry day after school for about 7 hours straight. But then it's homecoming, with my wonderful, wonderful, lady.
Speaking of her, I had a WONDERFUL hour and a half long bus ride with her on friday, for a school field trip. We talked the entier way there, and then she fell asleep on my shoulder on the way back (she's on the varsity soccer team, and they were playing a game in a town that was on the way home, so we dropped them off), so that meant i couldnt move a INCH or else I would wake her up. She eventually did wake up, and we held hadns the entire way to her game. Cute.

Well, considering I'm just 15, I do it as a hobby. But I worked this summer with a professional theater doing lighting, and through that job I got offered another one this fall. I do it at my school a LOT, and in the community as well.

combatwombat, i have a friend that does all the lighting and props and everything for the school, and she gets so stressed out when there's a big play coming up. she puts in 3-5 hours a day for almost 2 months leading up to the play, i don't know how she does it.
anyways, i was listening to some elton john, and then i realized that one of his songs is called "don't let the sun go down on me". is it just me, or when he says "don't let the sun go down on me", does the word "sun" remind you of the word "son" ??? if so, the lyrics (http://www.eltonography.com/songs/dont_let_the_sun_go_down_on_me.html) take on a whole new meaning...

well my dad just told me that he deposited $100 in my bank account, since he kept offering me a $100 bill to come back and work with him and i kept refusing to take it. he was begging me to go work with him this morning and i said i was going to work on my foot control for drums, which gave me even more reason to practice, since my mom was home.
and i just went and saw my grampa in the hospital, man i hate those places. i actually have to force myself to go into them. i have these little panic attacks and stuff, which usually are terrible since i have raynaud's disease and it gets triggered by little panic attacks like that. and then i had to keep leaving when i was talking to him because i couldn't stand seeing him hooked up to all those things.
anyways, that sucked. the only reason i even went was because that was probably the last time i'll see him. if not, then that's great, but i didn't want him to die without me going to see him.

This ****ing bastard said to be happy i had to be responsible and take immediate action for any problems that i have and take care of them right away he tried to tell me that i was unhappy and ****. It took me three hours of arguing with him before i realized it was like arguing with a three year old kid who wont accept that santa doesnt exist. so if you ever run into them they really help sharpen your skills and keep oyu on top of your game.
not making a whole new thread on this but i got some sticks and practice pad today. I usually play 5b but im moving to fatback 3a's. i liek them more. they are a good practice stick too. I ended up getting the vic firth pad. the jackass tried to sell me the 12 inch one or whatever the biggest one is but thats retarded. i got the 6.

Am i the only person who prefers CRT monitors (the huge *** ones) to TFT/Plasma?

TFT sucks, but the advantage is the added work room.

tft are amazing, the new ones don't even ghost.
CRT's suck, I have a 21" in my room and I am swapping it for a 15" TFT.

Thoughts are the shadows of feelings, always darker, emptier, and simpler.
I don't care if they're fake or real, I just thank them for showing up at all.
I have black periods. Who does not? But they are not a part of me;
they are not a part of illness, but a part of my being. What am I saying?
I have the courage to have them. Four o' clock in the morning. This sucks.
Any of you lot know where thats from? ;) Bet ya's dont but i reckon its a class extract

Unfortunately, I have had to decide against the module.
Instead, i'll pick up a 10" tom, a cymbal grabber, some parts for my repair projects, and some heads. Maybe if I have enough money from the projects, I will get a module then.

well my friend got drums not too long ago, and i was giving him "lessons" (it was really just me writing down things for him to practice, things to get, etc.) and now he told me he doesn't want me to help him. he said that he doesn't care about technique, and that holding the sticks tight feels better. he said that rudiments don't matter because he'd never use them in a song. he doesn't want to spend money on a practice pad or metronome because he's already broke 4 sticks, and doesn't want to spend all of his money on drums. he just wants to continue playing along to songs, with no guidance at all.
any suggestions? do i just give up on him?

09-26-2005, 08:52 PM
You can't be to much if he is going to be an *** about that kinda stuff. Just tell him how he could actually hurt himself using wrong technique and tell him he should go to a teacher for a little while so that he can get sorted out and won't end up doing some serious damage.
styler
09-26-2005, 09:20 PM
tell him its because of his technique that hes breaking his sticks, and that hes an idiot for not wanting to be taught, and that he needs to mature abit and take any advice he can from someone who knows more than he does

Hey poppin, is it just the pictures that make that kit look so tiny? Is it a 20" kick?
poppinfresh
09-26-2005, 11:21 PM
yeah it is a 20 kick, they are all fusion sizes with a 13 in brass snare, 18 in paistes with a 20 in ride and 14 in highats.

hahah
Who is really bigger, the three men in the front or the man in the back.
turn the page
The man behind the set is actually 16t ft tall, this illusion works by putting midgets in front and putting the man extremely far back.
