im gonna be buying another drumset soon.....ehm....

theres 2 bands im playing with nowadays, ones a prog rock thing and the other which i just joined is a giging latin jazz band. it is so expensive to drive to my friends house from school or work (to pickup my drums) then to drive an hour back to set up the gear.

so i would like another drumset this way i could pay it off within a reasonable amount of time and probably save 100 bucks a month on gas. in the long run it will save me money i think.

i had a terrible sleep last night. it was one of those nights where you wake up every 20 minutes for no apparent reason, then fall asleep 5 minutes later. i changed sleeping areas 6 times :lol: first my bed, then the floor beside my bed, then downstairs on the couch, then downstairs on the floor, then upstairs on the couch, then downstairs on the trampoline, which actually worked quite nicely. i had my head and upper body on the trampoline, then my legs were on the couch. then after a while i came back to my bed, because i'd left the fan on all night and it was nice and cool in my room.

so now i think i'm going to record some guitar parts i have made up for a metalcore-ish band i want to start, so i can give out little sample cd's to people at my school who'd want to start a new band with me. i figure that's the best way to get people interested, instead of just listing influences and such.

yea me and my friends went around in my friends van on one of those nights where the "special garbagemen" come around and pick up old chairs, couches, things that normal garbagemen wouldn't take. we ended up taking like 10 chairs, 3 couches, and a bunch of random tables and stuff. then the next day i had to walk my friends little sister home and we saw one of those little 1-person workout trampolines, so i grabbed it, and i've had it ever since. i don't ever use it, apart from throwing things on it, or setting it up against something and bouncing off of it.

oh man, my town had this one dumpster where people could put their old tv's, radio's, and anything like that. the first day that people put stuff in it, me and my friends took everything, and broke it all. we would throw 2 tv's at each other, then smash them with a vcr, etc. we were gonna videotape it, but none of us had a videocamera. i almost broke my ankle when i jumped 5 feet onto a tv and landed a bit to the side. it was great fun, and they haven't had that dumpster since.

i tried that woofer thing with my old snare drum, but i didn't get any results. i tried to do it like the subkick thing. oh well.

i just cleaned my room (it was terrible, you couldn't see any carpet at all) it took me 15 minutes, and now a lady friend of mine is coming to pick me up right away. i don't know what we're gonna do, probably go to her house, maybe drive around, maybe walk, i don't know. we have 2 and a half hours to waste before the rest of my friends get home. any suggestions? (no she's not my girlfriend, she's with one of my best friends, so none of those suggestions...)

Bah I have just returned from my first rehearsal for this stupid musical I agreed to do. Twas pretty crappy. I had never laid eyes on the music before or heard any of the songs, plus half the time my sheet music didn't match up with the real score! It was really retarded. Stupid musical.....

So my band arrived at the venue with my drum kit. Walked in to find the headliner had already set up despite their being 3 supports. So the sound guy tells me to go find the drummer who's kit it is and ask if he'd move it. He looks at me and says simply, No. He says "you can use it but dont move any of it or i'll have you thrown out"

Not only is it a CB set but its ****in left handed! And none of the other drummers can play left or open handed. So the dick makes us set up in front of the amps to the left on a tiny stage.

Ah yes I forgot to mention the set at the musical rehearsal. Absolutely terrible tuning and head choices! I've never seen a snare cranked so tight!!! And its a shame too, cause with good heads/tuning, that kit could probably sound beautiful.

Alright, I just wrote my campaign thingy for student council elections, this will be hung on a wall for all to see:



Everyone likes to save money. Well, by electing me for student council you would be saving student council money. Every year student council gives me movie tickets in return for my services. That isn’t to say I didn’t deserve them. Last year I put in at least 70 hours of work for student council, without actually being on student council.
I am fully prepared to surrender a couple of movie tickets, however, if it means I can do more to help you. I am a hard worker, with a strong work ethic. When I really put my mind to something, it’ll get done one way or another. Late nights and early mornings are no problem for me.
Even if I’m not elected to student council, I’ll continue to work. I started to work and plan for the school talent show since July, working with the executive committee to make sure everything goes smoothly, and that talent show is the best it can be. That’s really what student council is all about, making things the best they can be. And if I’m elected, I’ll make sure they are.

Student council actually does a LOT at my school, they're pretty powerful as well. They do some really fun stuff, like for valentines thwey set up a little stand where you can buy different colored roses and carnations for people. That kind of sutff, plus organize a TON of school events.
