well i watched sin city again tonight. the first time i saw it, i didn't really pay attention to most of it, and thought it was terrible. i paid attention this time and thought it was fairly good, but i don't think it lives up to the hype of it. you could really tell the spots where tarantino directed
well now i'm working on a song, basing it on a guitar riff i came up with this morning. a bar of 7/8 followed by a bar of 9/8, but rhythm guitar is playing groups of 3, 2, 3, 4, 3, 1. drums and bass come in on the group of 2 and 4. sounds good so far. i'm just waiting for conan to come on, and then i'm off to bed.

i was very disapointed by wotw. i didnt really have high hopes going into it, but i thought there might be a chance that it could have been too good. it was way too predictable and way way too hero-esque.

you sure? certain parts (i'm talking every time a head or hand gets chopped off) are much different from the rest of the movie, and it's much like tarantino's regular chopping scenes. i guessed it was him who did those scenes. but then again, i really have no idea. :thumb:

no, Tarantino only did one scene.
Go look it up on IMDB.
What happened is the guy on Sin City did either the soundtrack or a song for Kill Bill for Tarantino for $1, and Tarantino said in exchange he would direct a scene in Sin City for $1, and he did.

Playing drums in low light makes everything 10x better!
I love playing under stage lights, the low light stuff. The blues and purples are my favorite.

Does anyone know if you can copy video from a dvd onto your computer?
Yes. You just need software.
I know you can pull stills with PowerDVD, but as for a name for actually ripping, I'd have to get back to you.
This was a still pulled off a DVD...

ZXT's suck
Aheads suck
Titanium ZXT's suck more then regular ZXT's
K's = good
what else did I forget?
Don't worry, I already know all those things.
I'm desperately trying to save up to get rid of my last ZXT for a K Custom Session Ride (20")
ZXTi's are the most pathetic invention ever (sorry Zildjian). They aren't even real titanium, only coated!
K's are good, but I prefer K customs myself.

I agree with the 9/11 movie being way too early, but the BTK one?
Dude that guy started his spree in the 70s, and didn't get caught until now.
They actually had him in the 80s too but let him go because they didn't have enough evidence or something like that.

08-19-2005, 09:04 PM
actually, not really.
The system itself is $250 and it comes with a 32MB card, which is plenty if you're just doing game-saves.
The 1Gig card is $80, the 512MB is $40, 126 is $30 I think
the gig one is totally worth the $80, because then you can put:
Movies, TV shows, emulators/roms, music, pictures, flash movies (somebody at pspupdates.com found a way to convert flash videos into PSP format, but not games yet), homebrew (homemade games made for PSP, think flash games basicaly. Only works on firmware 1.0 and 1.5/1.51).
Also the newest upgrade in a few weeks (already out in Japan) has an internet browser, so if you have wireless internet at your house you're set.
:D
This thing is a miracle on overnights where we finish our stuff by 2, to kill some time until 3:20 when we start cooking breakfast, and then from 4 until we get an order/the openers show up.
I'll also be brining Spiderman 2 to watch, since it came with the system :D

08-19-2005, 09:17 PM
you can upgrade to 2.0 Japanese version, but bewarned: You can't go from 2.0 Japan to 2.0 American, and the American one is fixing a few bugs, and it also voids your warranty. Not worth it IMO
Yeah, I never got Wipeout and thus not the browser, as I don't have wireless at home or very close, but I'm planning to get a wifi router here and do that.
The Fiction We Live
08-19-2005, 09:21 PM

well i just got back from being around town. i was so close to getting tanked tonight, then i realized that im working tomorrow. it's going to be 26 celcius, and i'll be mowing rough for 9 hours. the mower is extremely loud/vibraty, and the seat is extremely loose, so i shake around the whole time. so thankfully i decided not to drink. (this was the first time ive passed up drinking in over 8 months  ) all we did was walk for 45 minutes, and then stopped to get food, walked another 15 minutes, and then they all went home. it's 9:45, i would have been walking around town for another 2 hours if i had drank. phew.

I dunno bout that, Jim's had his share of some of the all time best Avatar's.

Well it has been a good day... found out that I'm getting a Paiste 20" Dry Reflector Ride on Tuesday, my new Tama Roadpro stands on Wednesday along with my new tom clamps, and I got news that my new Maryland kit is nearly complete! So with all this good news, I'm going to go to bed because I have hockey practice in 8 hours! Goodnight everyone!
