Songwriter needed......

If anyone is interested, I am starting a band and I need someone that will write lyrics for me (I thought coming to this forum would be best). I prefer playing metal music, so write something that would sound good with screaming...somewhere along the lines of Killswitch Engage, Slipknot, and CKY. I live in Alexandria, Louisiana. If you live near there (within 30 miles) e-mail a sample of your work to ProjectwpnX@aol.com and make sure to put "SAMPLE LYRICS" as the subject.

I agree with Orion. And if you want to get a good reply, open up the 30 mile limit to more songwriters who might be interested. You're asking them to find out more via email so there shouldn't really be a mileage restriction-i dont think that term actually exists lol but you get my meaning!

if the person who writes the lyrics can play drums, sing well, or play guitar then that person can be in the band

I'd suggest going to the Classified forum and start a thread for your local area. Head there and you'll see what i mean.

However i wouldn't suggest doing this too much. Mx has a very wide user base and so you're unlikely to find many people from your area. Perhaps stick an add in the local paper.

I would write some lyrics for you if you want. I live in Canada, but if it's through email, it wouldn't matter. Just post some more stuff on here about influences and stuff and maybe some things to write about and I'll see what I can do.
