Kill Bill should be combined as one movie. That's the only way to watch it, and the only way to properly assess it. I liked it better than Pulp Fiction, but not when divided.

Really? Thats unbelievable. I loved Pulp Fiction. It has so many funny lines and its just a cool movie. Why do you like Kill Bill so much?

Kill Bill is a great movie, but it's not for everyone. I guess the best analogy I can think of is that Pulp Fiction is GTA: Vice City, and Kill Bill is GTA: San Andreas. It's twice as big as its predecessor and has more musical influences, but many people just like the overall atmosphere of the previous one more.
I like Kill Bill because the first part has insane amounts of gore, violence, and excellently choregraphed fight scenes. The second one is much more emotional, and has plenty of cool backstory. And as usual, Tarantino knows how to pick a soundtrack.

I'll agree with YDload and say Kill Bill needs to be watched together. Otherwise, it just seems to lose something, I'm not sure what, but it's just not as enjoyable. I do however, still prefer Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs :thumb:

Pulp Fiction
True Romance (he wrote it)
Jackie Brown
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill (wasn't that good)
He's a great director and writer but Kill Bill kind of sucked.

Has anybody heard of Tarantino wanting to direct a Bond movie? Anyone got opinions on that?

What about Natural Born Killers? Tarantino wrote that. It had a good storyline but the movie was just kind of shitty.

Anybody hear about Inglorious Bastards or The Untitled Quentin Tarantino Project, which I hear might be a remake of the 36th Chamber of Shaolin.

tarantino movies are so great
too bad that they lose their beauty after you've seen it once
the first time that you see a tarantino movie you're like
and the second time, alle the marvelous use of camera angles and music, just seem unoriginal and out of place somehow
so after I've watched a tarantino, I wait for 2 years or so, and after that I've forgotten most of the film, and I can admire it's brilliance once more :)

Pulp Fiction by a long way.
His only film that is actually worthy of classic status. All of his others are overrated in extreme - in fact he is the most overrated man in cinema.
I continue to remain bemused as to why he is still held in such high regard. There is absolutely nothing revolutionary nor brilliant about him. He steals whole chunks of other films and reapplies them into a muddled "vision". Furthermore, his camera "techniques" actually detract from the rest of the film in most cases. Style getting firmly in the way of substance.
Finally:
City on Fire > Reservoir Dogs.
CoF wasn't a good film to start off with (saved only by Chow Yun-Fat), but he just remade it, and made it worse.

I will say that he takes big ideas from movies, but i still think the movies are redone in a good way. But i do agree that some things are overrated, i think kill bill was weak, but vol. 2 was allright. And jackie brown was a tad lame.

Reservoir Dogs did not suck. It had great acting, plot, and direction. Steve Buscemi and Michael Madsen were great. If you don't like most of Tarantino's stuff, who do you like?

I would have to say:
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill 2
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill 1
Jackie Brown
Jackie Brown just didnt appeal to me. I think it has something to do with the fact that Tarantino didn't write it, it was a book adaption.

From Dusk Till Dawn is an awesome movie as well

From Dusk Til Dawn is really weird. It's like two movies in one.
Jackie Brown is good. It's a more conventional film than his others but its the only one which actually has characters you care about. It was a book adaptation but it was an Elmore Leonard book (Get Shorty was based on one of his books as well) and his books are great. Tarantino loves his stuff and you can see why. They are like Tarantino books.
True Romance is a great film. Tarantino's script is great. Dennis Hopper's speech to Christopher Walken is my favourite film speech ever.
Kill Bill wasn't that good in my opinion. It was too slow and there wasn't enough dialogue. I appreciate what he was trying to do but it didn't just work for me.
Tarantino has often been accused of being unoriginal. Primarily he deals in homage and his films are really a distillation of pop culture combined perfectly.

Pulp Fiction for me. A great film, the worst bit IMHO is when Tarantino himself appears, he seems to have some sort of status about him that just doesn't work. It doesn't feel right watching geeky little tarantino speaking down to Sam L Jackson.

in every single one of his movies, tarantino mentions "apple cigarettes" (im guessing its a fabricated brand, i could be wrong)

Resevoir dogs. Pure quality.
I think he was a talent that shinedvery brightly at first, but has totally burned out now. I hated the Kill Bill series.

Yeah, it's "Red Apple Cigarettes" I think. It's like a trademark of his. The same with the shots looking up from the boot/trunk of the car.

Yeah that's probably my list too, maybe Reservoir Dogs above Kill Bill 2, just because i've seen it more. That's a tough call though, it's like asking who your favorite child is.

Pulp fiction is my favourite, Natural Born Killers was good written by him, but oliver stone wanted to make an experimental film, but i think it would have been rubbish if he tried to do it tarantino style, I think the two directors have similaritites, but thats only in thier subject material not in thier actual directing and screen writing.
