Super Size Me is one of the greatest documentarys ive seen in a while. It really opened up my eyes to how bad fast food is for people so i've began to get myself on a healthier eating track. The whole film is basically a documentary on how bad fast food is for you, particularly mcdonalds, and the person goes on a thirty day diet. The diet consists of
>3 square meals a day
>he has to have 3 meals for 30 days
>he has to have everything available at least once
>he has to supersize if hes asked
The film is a really massive eye opener and i think people should go out and see it. It is a sort of micheal moore style documentary so really i was just wondering what you people out there who have seen it think?

its definintly worth watching and i have to say good food seems so much better after seeing this film. Subway is such a good idea, like a fast food chain thats good for you. There's quite a funny bit in the film where his girlfriend says the diet has affected his love life because the fat affects his erection and he gets tired out from being on the top! seriously though watch it, its a great film.

>3 square meals a day

hmm...i think we can get a rough estimate on the budget of the movie from this
Average Meal Combo Price - $7
Multiplied by 3 meals a day
$21/Day
thats $630/Month for food.
Plus Film and Editing Costs....we'll say $5000?
and gas for a month...$30/week? over 4 weeks thats $120
so the movie cost about $10,000 according to my calculations (Canadian Funds)
so, to bring in the obligitory Mastercard ripoff:
Fast Food Meals For A Day - $21
Making a Documentary on Fast food Vs. Health - $10,000
Getting Fat for the world to see? - Priceless

Is it worth watching?
I'd say yes. Though it is kind of stupid.
"I'm going to prove that eating all McDonalds is bad for you!"
....yeah. Like we needed a documetary for that. It's still quite entertaining though.

It's a good doco, and has some funny moments. And it does really make you avoid McDonalds for some time after seeing it.

it's not as simple as that it's a lot more complex and shows how disgusting it is and what it really is made of and what it consists of. Also, never eat chicken nuggets from any fast food company in your life. Trust me on that one!

It was interesting I guess. I kind of had a general idea of the fastfood situation, and how fat Americans are. The only part I enjoyed was him almost killing himself through MacDonalds. I wonder what would of happen if he did die... (sadistic  ) And the super skinny BigMac guy who eats like three a day and is all "Well, I don't eat the fries???"

Didn't FMK do something like this?
They show some useful facts in it, other than that it's a pretty dumb documentary. If you really want to get a better view of the whole thing just read "fast food nation."

well try this link and look at the ingredients that go into one chicken nugget and see its fat content etc. Also the boneless chicken is parts like the head and the illegal parts which is a fact.

You left out the biggest rule in the movie, although it is bluntly obvious, that he can only buy food that come from McDonald's.
Anyways, that big mac guy who at like 3000. How could he not be like 500 pounds? And did you see the deleted scene, where he tested fries from McDonald's, regular fries, a big mac, quarter pounder, fish fillet and put them each in a container and see how they decomposed? The fries looked just as the day they bought them after like 5 months of being in the jar.
