Recently i've been looking for some decent adventure games. Any of you guys know any recent titles worth looking into? I was always a big fan of the early ones like the zork games, maniac mansion and those types. I've been behind the times are far as these types of games go.

If you're going for the Monkey Island type you might as well check out the Discworld series too. Pretty funny.

Broken Sword's worth a look as well, one of the first two (£5 each as well), but Monkey Island ahead of that, definitely.

All Zelda games are great.
Ocarina of time is a must and Wind Waker is also amazing. All the old ones are good to.

Too bad they aren't adventure games.
These are a must:
Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis
Gabriel Knight: Sins of our fathers
Maniac Mansion 2: Day of the tentacle

Action games with RPG elements. And very good ones, I might add.
The adventure games we're talking about are the pick-up-this-object-and-use-it-on-something-else kind.

Spyro serier was really good, as well as GL (yes, i know it is technically an RPG, but it feels more adventure to me).

Also I reccomend (if you have a psone) the Broken Sword series--its exactly the type of game you want Jim, and you can find it cheap. I believe they are also on the pc, but I'd take ps 1 over it.
And you can't go wrong with Ringworld or Kings Quest.

The adventure games we're talking about are the pick-up-this-object-and-use-it-on-something-else kind.Runescape (http://runescape.com) <----Its advertised as an mmorpg, but it has lots of great adventure elements. Its played in a java window, so it doent eat up hard drive space. Best of all a decent chunk of the game is free. If you like it enough the other 2/3rds of the game is $5 a month. The quests, and most of the skills in runecape are (pick-up-this-object-and-use-it-on-something-else) based. Runescapes a huge adventure/ rpg.

Me and my friend play that. It's funny, my friend sold 1500 feathers for 5000 gold coins. And I sell chickens and beef to people for silly prices. Thilly new people.
